Question 1838: During the prostration in my prayer, for a moment, I thought it was a prostration of thanks, and I said three times: 'Shukran Lillah' (Thanks to Allah). Does this cause any issue with my prayer?

✅ Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:

📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 3, p. 337

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whatever you mention Allah the Exalted and Glorious and His Messenger with, it is considered part of the prayer!

📚 Al-Faqih, vol. 1, p. 317

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whatever you use to supplicate to your Lord during prayer is not considered as speech (which invalidates the prayer)!

📚 Al-Tahdhib, vol. 2, p. 326

Ahmad ibn Muhammad said: I asked Imam Jawad (peace be upon him) about someone who speaks anything to supplicate to his Lord during his prayer; the Imam said: Yes!

✅ According to the above narrations and others, words that are divine remembrance do not invalidate the prayer. Therefore, if someone says 'Shukran Lillah' (Thanks to Allah) in their prostration during prayer, whether by mistake or even intentionally, it does not cause any issue with the prayer, and there is no need for repetition or prostration of forgetfulness.
