1⃣عَنْ مَسْعَدَةَ بْنِ زِیَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: لَا یَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ الْعَاقُّ لِوَالِدَیْهِ وَ مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ وَ مَنَّانٌ بِالْفِعَالِ لِلْخَیْرِ إِذَا عَمِلَهُ

📚Qurb al-Isnad, Page 40

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'An unfilial child, a habitual drinker, and one who neglects acts of charity will not enter Paradise!'

2⃣عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِی الْحَسَنِ مُوسَی قَالَ: حَرُمَتِ الْجَنَّةُ عَلَی ثَلَاثَةٍ النَّمَّامِ وَ مُدْمِنِ الْخَمْرِ وَ الدَّیُّوثِ وَ هُوَ الْفَاجِرُ.

📚'Aqab al-A'mal, Page 262, Hadith 3

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Paradise is forbidden for three: a slanderer, a habitual drinker, and an adulterer, who is indeed a wicked person!'

3⃣عَنْ أَبِی سَعِیدٍ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّادِق قَالَ: أَرْبَعَةٌ لَا یَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ الْکَاهِنُ وَ الْمُنَافِقُ وَ مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ وَ الْقَتَّاتُ وَ هُوَ النَّمَّامُ.

📚Amali al-Saduq, Page 330, Hadith 5

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Four people will not enter Paradise: a priest, a hypocrite, a habitual drinker, and "qattaat", which is the same as a slanderer!'

4⃣عَنْ أَبِی أُسَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّه قَالَ: الشُّربُ مِفْتَاحُ کُلِّ شَرٍّ وَ مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ کَعَابِدِ وَثَنٍ وَ إِنَّ الْخَمْرَ رَأْسُ کُلِّ إِثْمٍ وَ شَارِبَهَا مُکَذِّبٌ بِکِتَابِ اللَّهِ لَوْ صَدَّقَ کِتَابَ اللَّهِ حَرَّمَ حَرَامَهُ.

📚Al-Kafi, Volume 6, Page 403

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Drinking wine is the key to every evil, and a habitual drinker is like an idolater, and indeed wine is the head of every sin, and its drinker denies the Quran! If he acknowledged the Quran, he would deem it unlawful!'

5⃣عَنِ الْحَلَبِیِّ وَ زُرَارَةَ ایضا وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ وَ حُمْرَانَ بْنِ أَعْیَنَ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ وَ أَبِی عَبْداللَّه قَالا مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ کَعَابِدِ وَثَنٍ.

📚Al-Kafi, Volume 6, Page 404

Imam Baqir and Imam Sadiq (peace be upon them) said: 'A habitual drinker is like an idolater!'

6⃣عَنْ عَبْدِاللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْداللَّه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ یَلْقَی اللَّهَ یَوْمَ یَلْقَاهُ کَافِراً.

📚Al-Kafi, Volume 6, Page 404

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: 'On the Day of Meeting Allah, a habitual drinker meets Him as an unbeliever!'

7⃣عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی أَبُو بَصِیرٍ وَ ابْنُ أَبِی یَعْفُورٍ قَالا سَمِعْنَا أَبَا عَبْداللَّهِ یَقُولُ لَیْسَ مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ الَّذِی یَشْرَبُهَا کُلَّ یَوْمٍ وَ لَکِنِ الَّذِی یُوَطِّنُ نَفْسَهُ أَنَّهُ إِذَا وَجَدَهَا شَرِبَهَا.

📚Al-Kafi, Volume 6, Page 405

Abu Basir and Ibn Abi Ya'fur said: 'We heard Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) say: 'A habitual drinker is not someone who drinks it every day, but he is someone who is prepared to drink it whenever he finds it!'

8⃣عَنْ أَبِی الْجَارُودِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْداللَّه یَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِی أَبِی عَنْ أَبِیهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّه قَالَ: مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ کَعَابِدِ وَثَنٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ وَ مَا الْمُدْمِنُ قَالَ الَّذِی إِذَا وَجَدَهَا شَرِبَهَا.

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: 'A habitual drinker is like an idolater.' I said: 'Who is a habitual drinker?' He said: 'The one who, when he finds it, drinks it!'

9⃣عَنْ نُعَیْمٍ الْبَصْرِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْداللَّه قَالَ: مُدْمِنُ الْمُسْکِرِ الَّذِی إِذَا وَجَدَهُ شَرِبَهُ.

📚Al-Kafi, Volume 6, Page 405

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'A habitual drunkard is one who, when he finds it, drinks it!'

✅ Drinking intoxicating beverages is one of the greatest divine prohibitions that has been strongly condemned in the Quran and numerous traditions, and severe punishments have been prescribed for it. Among them, those who are habitual drinkers face more condemnation and severe punishment, even though linguistically, 'addict' means a person addicted and constantly consuming alcohol, considering the above narrations, individuals who are predisposed and intend to drink whenever they find alcohol are also considered habitual drinkers, even if the intervals between consumption are long!
