✅ Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:

1⃣عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا قَالَ: مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنَ الْخَمْرِ شَرْبَةً لَمْ یَقْبَلِ اللَّهُ منه صَلَاةً أَرْبَعِینَ یَوْماً.

📚Al-Kafi, Volume 6, Page 401

Imam Baqir or Imam Sadiq (peace be upon them) said: 'If someone drinks a sip of wine, Allah will not accept his prayers for forty days!'

2⃣عَنِ الْفُضَیْلِ بْنِ یَسَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ یَقُولُ مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَسَکِرَ مِنْهَا لَمْ تُقْبَلْ لَهُ صَلَاةٌ أَرْبَعِینَ یَوْماً فَإِنْ تَرَکَ الصَّلَاةَ فِی هَذِهِ الْأَیَّامِ ضُوعِفَ عَلَیْهِ الْعَذَابُ لِتَرْکِه الصَّلَاةِ.

📚Al-Faqih, Volume 3, Page 570

Fudayl said: 'I heard Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) say: 'If someone drinks wine and becomes intoxicated, his prayers will not be accepted for forty days. So if he abandons prayer during these days, his punishment for neglecting prayer will be doubled!'

3⃣عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِی الْحَسَنِ إِنَّا رُوِّینَا عَنِ النَّبِیِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ لَمْ تُحْتَسَبْ لَهُ صَلَاتُهُ أَرْبَعِینَ یَوْماً قَالَ فَقَالَ صَدَقُوا قُلْتُ وَ کَیْفَ لَا تُحْتَسَبُ صَلَاتُهُ أَرْبَعِینَ صَبَاحاً لَا أَقَلَّ مِنْ ذَلِکَ وَ لَا أَکْثَرَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّوَجَلَّ قَدَّرَ خَلْقَ الْإِنْسَانِ فَصَیَّرَهُ نُطْفَةً أَرْبَعِینَ یَوْماً ثُمَّ نَقَلَهَا فَصَیَّرَهَا عَلَقَةً أَرْبَعِینَ یَوْماً ثُمَّ نَقَلَهَا فَصَیَّرَهَا مُضْغَةً أَرْبَعِینَ یَوْماً فَهُوَ إِذَا شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ بَقِیَتْ فِی مُشَاشِهِ أَرْبَعِینَ یَوْماً عَلَی قَدْرِ انْتِقَالِ خِلْقَتِهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَ کَذَلِکَ جَمِیعُ غِذَائِهِ أَکْلِهِ وَ شُرْبِهِ یَبْقَی فِی مُشَاشِهِ أَرْبَعِینَ یَوْماً

📚Al-Kafi, Volume 6, Page 402

Husayn ibn Khalid said: 'I asked Imam Abu al-Hasan (peace be upon him): 'We have heard from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) that he said: 'The prayers of someone who drinks wine for forty days are not counted!' Imam replied: 'They have spoken the truth!' I said: 'How is it that his prayers are not counted for forty days, neither less nor more?' He said: 'Indeed, Allah has created man and placed him in the womb for forty days, then transferred him, and for forty days he is in the form of a clot, then transferred him, and for forty days he is in the form of a chewed lump. So when he drinks wine, forty days remain of his creation's transfer in his bones marrow!

Then he said: 'And likewise, all his food and drink remain in his bones marrow for forty days!'

4⃣عن أَبِی الصَّحَارِیِّ النَّخَّاسِ عن أَبِی عَبْداللَّه قَالَ: قُلْتُ الرَّجُلُ یَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ قال بِئْسَ الشَّرَابُ الْخَمْرُ یکَرَّرَ ذَلِکَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ تُرِیدُ مَا ذَا قُلْتُ یَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ إِنْ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ إِذَا قَامَ مِنْهَا اسْتَغْفَرَهُ و لَمْ یَنْوِ أَن یَعُودُ إِلَیْهَا ابداً قَبِلَ اللَّهُ صَلَاتَهُ مِنْ سَاعَتِهِ وَ إِنْ کَانَ غَیْرَ ذَلِکَ فَذَاکَ إِلَی اللَّهِ مَتَی شَاءَ قَبِلَهُ وَ مَتَی شَاءَ رَدَّهُ.

Abu Sahar narrated: 'I said to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): 'A person drinks wine!' Imam repeated three times: 'Wine is a bad drink!' Then he said: 'What do you want?!' I said: 'Will Allah accept his prayer?' He said: 'If Allah knows about him that when he rises from wine he seeks forgiveness from Him and never intends to return to it, his prayer will be accepted at that moment. But if not, it is in Allah's hands, He will accept it whenever He wants and reject it whenever He wants!'

📚Al-Kafi, Volume 6, Page 404

5⃣عن زَیْدٍ الشَّحَّامِ عن أَبی عَبْداللَّه قال: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّه مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ یَلْقَی اللَّهَ کَعَابِدِ وَثَنٍ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: 'One who is a habitual drinker, meets Allah like an idolater!'

✅ One of the greatest sins is drinking wine and intoxicants, one of the consequences of which is that one's prayers are not accepted for forty days after consuming it. If one abandons prayers during these forty days, his punishment is doubled. Therefore, a habitual drinker meets his Lord like an idolater!

However, the way to have prayers accepted and counted is genuine repentance, remorse, and a definite intention to quit drinking wine, but there is no directive to repeat the prayers of these forty days.
