Question 17: If someone reads a surah after Al-Fatiha but forgets the end of it and recites it incorrectly with doubt, what is their duty?

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِیَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَنْ غَلِطَ فِی سُورَةٍ فَلْیَقْرَأْ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ثُمَّ لْیَرْکَعْ

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: If someone makes a mistake in a surah (and does not recite it correctly), they should abandon it and recite Surah Al-Ikhlas (Say, 'He is Allah, [Who is] One') and proceed to bow (ruku).
