✅ Answer:

1⃣ Ibrahim ibn Umar al-Sana'ani reported from Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, that he said: For a frightening and tremendously terrifying matter, you should perform two units (rak'ahs) of prayer. This is the same prayer that Lady Fatimah, peace be upon her, used to recite. In the first unit, you recite Surah Al-Hamd (Chapter 1) and fifty times Surah Al-Ikhlas (Chapter 112). In the second unit, you do the same. After finishing the prayer, you send blessings to the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, and then raise your hands, saying:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَیْکَ بِهِمْ وَ أَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَیْکَ بِحَقِّهِمُ الَّذِی لَا یَعْلَمُ کُنْهَهُ سِوَاکَ وَ بِحَقِّ مَنْ حَقُّهُ عِنْدَکَ عَظِیمٌ وَ بِأَسْمَائِکَ الْحُسْنَی وَ کَلِمَاتِکَ التَّامَّاتِ الَّتِی أَمَرْتَنِی أَنْ أَدْعُوَکَ بِهَا وَ أَسْأَلُکَ بِاسْمِکَ الْعَظِیمِ الَّذِی أَمَرْتَ إِبْرَاهِیمَ علیه السلام أَنْ یَدْعُوَ بِهِ الطَّیْرَ فَأَجَابَتْهُ وَ بِاسْمِکَ الْعَظِیمِ الَّذِی قُلْتَ لِلنَّارِ کُونِی بَرْداً وَ سَلاماً عَلی إِبْراهِیمَ فَکَانَتْ وَ بِأَحَبِّ أَسْمَائِکَ إِلَیْکَ وَ أَشْرَفِهَا عِنْدَکَ وَ أَعْظَمِهَا لَدَیْکَ وَ أَسْرَعِهَا إِجَابَةً وَ أَنْجَحِهَا طَلِبَةً وَ بِمَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ وَ مُسْتَحِقُّهُ وَ مُسْتَوْجِبُهُ وَ أَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَیْکَ وَ أَرْغَبُ إِلَیْکَ وَ أَتَصَدَّقُ مِنْکَ وَ أَسْتَغْفِرُکَ وَ أَسْتَمْنِحُکَ وَ أَتَضَرَّعُ إِلَیْکَ وَ أَخْضَعُ بَیْنَ یَدَیْکَ وَ أَخْشَعُ لَکَ وَ أُقِرُّ لَکَ بِسُوءِ صَنِیعَتِی وَ أَتَمَلَّقُ وَ أُلِحُّ عَلَیْکَ وَ أَسْأَلُکَ بِکُتُبِکَ الَّتِی أَنْزَلْتَهَا عَلَی أَنْبِیَائِکَ وَ رُسُلِکَ صَلَوَاتُکَ عَلَیْهِمْ أَجْمَعِینَ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَ الْإِنْجِیلِ وَ الْقُرْآنِ الْعَظِیمِ مِنْ أَوَّلِهَا إِلَی آخِرِهَا فَإِنَّ فِیهَا اسْمَکَ الْأَعْظَمَ وَ بِمَا فِیهَا مِنْ أَسْمَائِکَ الْعُظْمَی أَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَیْکَ وَ أَسْأَلُکَ أَنْ تُصَلِّیَ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ أَنْ تُفَرِّجَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ تَجْعَلَ فَرَجِی مَقْرُوناً بِفَرَجِهِمْ وَ تُقَدِّمَهُمْ فِی کُلِّ خَیْرٍ وَ تَبْدَأَ بِهِمْ فِیهِ وَ تُفَتِّحَ أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ لِدُعَائِی فِی هَذَا الْیَوْمِ وَ تَأْذَنَ فِی هَذَا الْیَوْمِ وَ هَذِهِ اللَّیْلَةِ بِفَرَجِی وَ إِعْطَائِی سُؤْلِی فِی الدُّنْیَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ فَقَدْ مَسَّنِی الْفَقْرُ وَ نَالَنِی الضُّرُّ وَ سَلَّمَتْنِی الْخَصَاصَةُ وَ أَلْجَأَتْنِی الْحَاجَةُ وَ تَوَسَّمْتُ بِالذِّلَّةِ وَ غَلَبَتْنِی الْمَسْکَنَةُ وَ حَقَّتْ عَلَیَّ الْکَلِمَةُ وَ أَحَاطَتْ بِیَ الْخَطِیئَةُ.

✅ This prayer is recited for significant frightening and terrifying matters so that Allah, the Almighty, may provide sufficiency.

However, dear brothers and sisters, please note the following narration:

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, in a hadith said: When the suffering and hardship continued for the Children of Israel for forty days with terror, panic, cries, and tears, Allah sent revelation to Moses and Aaron, peace be upon them, to save them from Pharaoh. He reduced 170 years from their ordeal, bringing about their deliverance earlier. Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: You, our Shia, are also like this. If you do this and remain steadfast, Allah will bring about our relief. But if you do not do this and do not act accordingly (meaning, if you do not cry and weep before Allah), the matter will reach its end.
