1⃣عن أَبي عبداللَّه عن أَبيه قال: تَقَاضَى عَلِيٌّ و فَاطِمَةُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي الْخِدْمَةِ فَقَضَى عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِخِدْمَتِهَا مَا دُونَ الْبَابِ و قَضَى عَلَى عَلِيٍّ بِمَا خَلْفَهُ قَالَ فَقَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ فَلَا يَعْلَمُ ما دَخَلَنِي مِنَ السُّرُورِ إِلَّا اللَّهُ بِإِكْفَائِي رَسُولُ اللَّه تَحَمُّلَ أَرْقَابِ الرِّجال

📚 Qurb al-Isnad, p. 25

Imam Sadiq (AS) said: "Ali (AS) and Fatimah Zahra (AS) consulted the Messenger of Allah (SAW) regarding serving. He commanded that Fatimah should perform services inside the house, and for Ali, he commanded that he should perform services outside the house."

The Imam continued: "Then Fatimah (AS) said, 'No one except Allah knows how much happiness and delight has entered into my life because the Messenger of Allah (SAW) relieved me from burden on men's neck.'"

2⃣عن هشام بن سالم عن أَبی عبداللَّه قال: کَانَ أَمِیرالْمُؤْمِنِینَ یَحْتَطِبُ وَ یَسْتَقِی وَ یَکْنُسُ وَ کَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ تَطْحَنُ و تَعْجِنُ و تَخْبِزُ

Imam Sadiq (AS) said: "Imam Ali (AS) used to prepare firewood, fetch water, and sweep the house, while Fatimah (AS) used to grind flour and bake bread."

3⃣عن مُوسَی بْنِ بَکْرٍ عَنْ أَبِی إِبْرَاهِیمَ قال: جِهَادُ الْمَرْأَةِ حُسْنُ التَّبَعُّل

Imam Kazim (AS) said: "The jihad of a woman is good conduct and companionship with her husband, and obeying and being subject to her husband."

4⃣عن سيف عن نجم عن أَبِي جَعْفَر قال: إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ ضَمِنَتْ لِعَلِيٍ عَمَلَ الْبَيْتِ وَ الْعَجِينَ و الْخُبْزَ وَ قَمَّ الْبَيْتِ وَ ضَمِنَ لَهَا عَلِيٌّ مَا كَانَ خَلْفَ الْبَابِ نَقْلَ الْحَطَبِ وَ أَنْ يَجِيءَ بِالطَّعَام

📚 Tafsir al-Ayashi, Vol. 1, p. 171

Imam Baqir (AS) said: "Indeed, Fatimah (AS) made an agreement with Ali (AS) regarding the affairs of the house, such as preparing dough, baking bread, and arranging the house, while Imam Ali (AS) made an agreement with her to bring wood and food from outside the house."

5⃣عن الفضل بن شاذان عن الرضا قال: إِنَّمَا صَارَتِ الْحَائِضُ تَقْضِی الصِّیَامَ و لَا تَقْضِی الصَّلَاةَ لِعِلَلٍ شَتَّی مِنْهَا أَنَّ الصِّیَامَ لَا یَمْنَعُهَا مِنْ خِدْمَةِ نَفْسِهَا و خِدْمَةِ زَوْجِهَا و إِصْلَاحِ بَیْتِهَا وَ الْقِیَامِ بِأُمُورِهَا وَ الِاشْتِغَالِ بِمَرَمَّةِ مَعِیشَتِهَا وَ الصَّلَاةُ تَمْنَعُهَا مِنْ ذَلِکَ کُلِّهِ لِأَنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَکُونُ فِی الْیَوْمِ وَ اللَّیْلَةِ مِرَاراً فَلَا تَقْوَی عَلَی ذَلِکَ وَ الصَّوْمُ لَیْسَ هُوَ کَذَلِک

📚 'Uyun Akhbar al-Ridha, Vol. 2, p. 117

Imam Ridha (AS) said: "Indeed, a menstruating woman compensates for her fasts due to various reasons, but she does not compensate for her prayers. One of the reasons is that her fast is taken from her to serve her family, and it does not require the same strength as prayer, which is several times a day. Therefore, she does not find the strength to perform all these duties and to perform her fasts in the same way."

6⃣عن أَبی خالد الکعبی عن أبی عبداللَّه أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّه قال: أَیُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ رَفَعَتْ مِنْ بَیْتِ زَوْجِهَا شَیْئاً مِنْ مَوْضِعٍ إِلَی مَوْضِعٍ تُرِیدُ بِهِ صَلَاحاً نَظَرَ اللَّهُ إِلَیْهَا وَ مَنْ نَظَرَ اللَّهُ إِلَیْهِ لَمْ یُعَذِّبْهُ

📚 Amali al-Saduq, p. 335, Hadith 7

Imam Sadiq (AS) said: "Indeed, the Prophet (SAW) said, 'Any woman who lifts something in her house intending to reform and set it right and puts it in another place, Allah looks at her, and if Allah looks at her, He does not punish her.'"

✅ Based on the above narrations and other examples from the life of Imam Ali and Fatimah Zahra (AS), and the command of the Messenger of Allah (SAW), and the recommendations of the infallibles (AS), the duties of a woman within the home include managing domestic affairs, good conduct, companionship with her husband, serving her husband, and obedience to him. It is clear that without performing these duties, life becomes disturbed and disrupted. Even for the fulfillment of these duties, Allah has lifted the obligation of prayers during the menstrual period so that she can engage in household matters.
