✅ Answer: Please pay attention to the following narrations:

1⃣عَلِیٌّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنْ یُونُسَ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الَّذِی لَا یَقْرَأُ فَاتِحَةَ الْکِتَابِ فِی صَلَاتِهِ قَالَ لَا صَلَاةَ لَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ یَبْدَأَ بِهَا فِی جَهْرٍ أَوْ إِخْفَاتٍ قُلْتُ أَیُّهُمَا أَحَبُّ إِلَیْکَ إِذَا کَانَ خَائِفاً أَوْ مُسْتَعْجِلًا یَقْرَأُ بِسُورَةٍ أَوْ فَاتِحَةِ الْکِتَابِ قَالَ فَاتِحَةَ الْکِتَابِ.

Muhammad ibn Muslim reported: I asked him (Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him) about someone who does not recite Surah Al-Fatiha in his prayer. The Imam said: His prayer is not valid unless he begins reciting Surah Al-Fatiha aloud or silently.

I said: If a person is in fear or in a hurry, which one is more favorable to you, that he recites another surah or Al-Fatiha? He said: Al-Fatiha!

2⃣عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ اَلرَّجُلِ يَقُومُ فِي اَلصَّلاَةِ فَيَنْسَى فَاتِحَةَ اَلْكِتَابِ قَالَ فَلْيَقُلْ أَسْتَعِيذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ اَلشَّيْطَانِ اَلرَّجِيمِ إِنَّ اَللَّهَ هُوَ اَلسَّمِيعُ اَلْعَلِيمُ ثُمَّ لْيَقْرَأْهَا مَا دَامَ لَمْ يَرْكَعْ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ قِرَاءَةَ حَتَّى يَبْدَأَ بِهَا فِي جَهْرٍ أَوْ إِخْفَاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا رَكَعَ أَجْزَأَهُ إِنْ شَاءَ اَللَّهُ تَعَالَى.

📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 2, Page 147

Sama'ah reported: I asked Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, about a person who stands for prayer and forgets to recite Surah Al-Fatiha. The Imam said: As long as he has not yet gone to the bowing position, he should say, 'I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. Indeed, Allah is the Hearing and Knowing,' and then recite Surah Al-Fatiha. There is no recitation unless he begins reciting Surah Al-Fatiha aloud or silently. So if he has gone to the bowing position (and then remembers that he has not recited Al-Fatiha), Insha'Allah, Allah will suffice him!

✅ According to the above and other narrations, the prayer and recitation of the prayer are not valid unless Surah Al-Fatiha is recited in the first and second rak'ahs of the prayer. It is not permissible to recite another surah instead of Surah Al-Fatiha.

In certain circumstances and situations mentioned in the narrations, it is permissible to leave the surah after Al-Fatiha. However, Surah Al-Fatiha must always be recited in the prayer, and it cannot be deliberately omitted.
