In light of the above narrations and others, one of the four places where a traveling individual can and is preferable to perform the obligatory prayers in full, and any recommended (voluntary) prayers as desired, both day and night, is by the grave of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). The specific area is defined by expressions such as 'near the grave of Hussein,' 'the sanctuary of Hussein ibn Ali,' 'in his presence,' 'the vicinity of Hussein,' including a low-lying area with elevated surroundings where the grave of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is located, and so on.
In accordance with the narrations numbered 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, etc., as reported by esteemed Shia scholars such as Ibn Qulawayh, Sheikh Saduq, Sheikh Tusi, etc., the boundary of the sanctuary and precinct of the grave extends up to five farsakhs from all four sides of the tomb. Despite this extensive coverage mentioned in these narrations, the pilgrim to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is permitted to perform their prayers within this defined area surrounding the holy grave, and even the concession to offer prayers brokenly is allowed for the traveling pilgrim, even in close proximity to the grave.
