1⃣عَنْ مُعَاوِیَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّه قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَکَ وَ تَعَالَی جَعَلَ حَوْلَ الْکَعْبَةِ عِشْرِینَ وَ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ مِنْهَا سِتُّونَ لِلطَّائِفِینَ وَ أَرْبَعُونَ لِلْمُصَلِّینَ وَ عِشْرُونَ لِلنَّاظِرِینَ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 240

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Verily, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, has placed 120 mercies around the Ka'bah, of which 60 are for the ones performing Tawaf, 40 are for the ones praying, and 20 are for the ones looking at it!

2⃣عَن حَرِیزٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: النَّظَرُ إِلَی الْکَعْبَةِ عِبَادَةٌ وَ النَّظَرُ إِلَی الْوَالِدَیْنِ عِبَادَةٌ وَ النَّظَرُ إِلَی الْإِمَامِ عِبَادَةٌ وَ قَالَ مَنْ نَظَرَ إِلَی الْکَعْبَةِ کُتِبَتْ لَهُ حَسَنَةٌ وَ مُحِیَتْ عَنْهُ عَشْرُ سَیِّئَاتٍ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Looking at the Ka'bah is an act of worship, looking at one's parents is an act of worship, and looking at the Imam is an act of worship.

He also said: Whoever looks at the Ka'bah will have a good deed recorded for them, and ten sins will be erased from them!

3⃣عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِیزِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: مَنْ نَظَرَ إِلَی الْکَعْبَةِ بِمَعْرِفَةٍ فَعَرَفَ مِنْ حَقِّنَا وَ حُرْمَتِنَا مِثْلَ الَّذِی عَرَفَ مِنْ حَقِّهَا وَ حُرْمَتِهَا غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ ذُنُوبَهُ وَ کَفَاهُ هَمَّ الدُّنْیَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 241

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever looks at the Ka'bah with knowledge, and acknowledges the rights and sanctity of the Ka'bah as they do the rights and sanctity of us, Allah will forgive their sins and will suffice them from the grief of this world and the hereafter!

4⃣عَنْ سَیْفٍ التَّمَّارِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّه قَالَ: مَنْ نَظَرَ إِلَی الْکَعْبَةِ لَمْ یَزَلْ تُکْتَبُ لَهُ حَسَنَةٌ وَ تُمْحَی عَنْهُ سَیِّئَةٌ حَتَّی یَنْصَرِفَ بِبَصَرِهِ عَنْهَا.

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 240

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Whoever looks at the Ka'bah, a good deed is constantly written for them, and their sins are erased until they turn their gaze away!

5⃣عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ یَحْیَی عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ إِذَا خَرَجْتُمْ حُجَّاجاً إِلَی بَیْتِ اللَّهِ فَأَکْثِرُوا النَّظَرَ إِلَی بَیْتِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ مِائَةً وَ عِشْرِینَ رَحْمَةً عِنْدَ بَیْتِهِ الْحَرَامِ سِتُّونَ لِلطَّائِفِینَ وَ أَرْبَعُونَ لِلْمُصَلِّینَ وَ عِشْرُونَ لِلنَّاظِرِینَ.

📚 Al-Mahasen, p. 69

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) said: When you travel for Hajj towards the House of Allah, look frequently at the House of Allah, for verily, Allah has 120 mercies near His Sacred House, 60 of which are for the Tawaf performers, 40 for the worshippers, and 20 for the ones who look at it!

6⃣عَنْ إِسْمَاعِیلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّبِیِّ قَالَ: النَّظَرُ إِلَی الْکَعْبَةِ حُبّاً لَهَا یَهْدِمُ الْخَطَایَا هَدْماً.

📚 Al-Mahasen, p. 69

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) narrated from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Looking at the Ka'bah out of love for it, greatly diminishes one's mistakes!

7⃣عَنْ مُرَازِمٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: مِنْ أَیْسَرِ مَا یُعْطَی مَنْ یَنْظُرُ إِلَی الْکَعْبَةِ أَنْ یُعْطِیَهُ اللَّهُ بِکُلِّ نَظْرَةٍ حَسَنَةً وَ تُمْحَی عَنْهُ سَیِّئَةٌ وَ تُرْفَعُ لَهُ دَرَجَةٌ.

📚 Wasail al-Shia, Vol. 13, p. 265

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: One of the least rewards given to the one who looks at the Ka'bah is that for each glance, Allah writes a good deed for them, erases a sin, and raises their rank by one level!

✅ Although the above narrations and others mention great rewards for looking at the Ka'bah, these rewards are general. However, regarding the specific place to look during prayer, there are special narrations. Therefore, it is better for the one praying in the Masjid al-Haram to follow the specific narrations related to prayer during the prayer, and outside of prayer, they can benefit from the reward of looking at the Ka'bah.
