1⃣عَنْ مُعَاوِیَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِی حَدِیثٍ قَالَ: فَإِنْ رَمَیْتَ بِحَصَاةٍ فَوَقَعَتْ فِی مَحْمِلٍ فَأَعِدْ مَکَانَهَا وَ إِنْ أَصَابَتْ إِنْسَاناً أَوْ جَمَلًا ثُمَّ وَقَعَتْ عَلَی الْجِمَارِ أَجْزَأَکَ.

Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said in a narration: If you throw a pebble and it falls in a basket, repeat the act with another pebble. However, if it hits a person or a camel and then lands on the Jamarah, it is sufficient!

2⃣عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَی عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِی حَدِیثٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ رَمَی جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ بِسِتِّ حَصَیَاتٍ وَ وَقَعَتْ وَاحِدَةٌ فِی الْمَحْمِلِ قَالَ یُعِیدُهَا.

Abdul A'la said: I asked Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) about a person who throws six pebbles at the Jamrah Aqabah, and one of them falls into a basket. The Imam said: He should repeat the act with another pebble!

✅ According to the above narrations and others, each of the Jamarat is stoned with seven pebbles, meaning seven pebbles must be thrown at each of the Jamarat.

✅ If any of the pebbles does not hit the Jamarah, it must be replaced by another pebble until it hits the Jamarah, so any pebble that does not hit the Jamarah should be repeated until seven pebbles strike each Jamarah.

✅ According to the first narration, if the pebbles are thrown and hit something before reaching the Jamarah but then land on the Jamarah, it is sufficient and does not require repetition.

✅ It is advisable for the pilgrim to carry more pebbles than necessary so that if repetition is needed due to a pebble not hitting the Jamarah, there are enough spare pebbles available.
