1⃣عَنْ مُعَاوِیَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: خُذْ حَصَی الْجِمَارِ ثُمَّ ائْتِ الْجَمْرَةَ الْقُصْوَی الَّتِی عِنْدَ الْعَقَبَةِ فَارْمِهَا مِنْ قِبَلِ وَجْهِهَا وَ لَا تَرْمِهَا مِنْ أَعْلَاهَا وَ تَقُولُ وَ الْحَصَی فِی یَدِکَ اللَّهُمَّ هَؤُلَاءِ حَصَیَاتِی فَأَحْصِهِنَّ لِی وَ ارْفَعْهُنَّ فِی عَمَلِی ثُمَّ تَرْمِی وَ تَقُولُ مَعَ کُلِّ حَصَاةٍ اللَّهُ أَکْبَرُ اللَّهُمَّ ادْحَرْ عَنِّی الشَّیْطَانَ اللَّهُمَّ تَصْدِیقاً بِکِتَابِکَ وَ عَلَی سُنَّةِ نَبِیِّکَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ حَجّاً مَبْرُوراً وَ عَمَلًا مَقْبُولًا وَ سَعْیاً مَشْکُوراً وَ ذَنْباً مَغْفُوراً وَ لْیَکُنْ فِیمَا بَیْنَکَ وَ بَیْنَ الْجَمْرَةِ قَدْرَ عَشَرَةِ أَذْرُعٍ أَوْ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ ذِرَاعاً فَإِذَا أَتَیْتَ رَحْلَکَ وَ رَجَعْتَ مِنَ الرَّمْیِ فَقُلِ اللَّهُمَّ بِکَ وَثِقْتُ وَ عَلَیْکَ تَوَکَّلْتُ فَنِعْمَ الرَّبُّ وَ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلی وَ نِعْمَ النَّصِیرُ قَالَ وَ یُسْتَحَبُّ أَنْ یُرْمَی الْجِمَارُ عَلَی طُهْرٍ

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 478

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: (On the day of Eid al-Adha) pick up the pebbles and go to the Jamrat al-Aqaba (the largest one) and throw them from the front, but do not throw them from the top. While holding the pebbles, say:

اللَّهُمَّ هَؤُلَاءِ حَصَیَاتِی فَأَحْصِهِنَّ لِی وَ ارْفَعْهُنَّ فِی عَمَلِی

Then throw the pebbles, and with each pebble, say:

اللَّهُ أَکْبَرُ اللَّهُمَّ ادْحَرْ عَنِّی الشَّیْطَانَ اللَّهُمَّ تَصْدِیقاً بِکِتَابِکَ وَ عَلَی سُنَّةِ نَبِیِّکَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ حَجّاً مَبْرُوراً وَ عَمَلًا مَقْبُولًا وَ سَعْیاً مَشْکُوراً وَ ذَنْباً مَغْفُوراً

And there should be a distance of ten or fifteen arms between you and the Jamrah.

And when you return from throwing and reach your resting place, say:

اللَّهُمَّ بِکَ وَثِقْتُ وَ عَلَیْکَ تَوَکَّلْتُ فَنِعْمَ الرَّبُّ وَ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلی وَ نِعْمَ النَّصِیرُ

It is recommended to perform the throwing with purity.

2⃣عَنْ جَمِیلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَمْیِ الْجَمْرَةِ یَوْمَ النَّحْرِ مَا لَهَا تُرْمَی وَحْدَهَا وَ لَا تُرْمَی مِنَ الْجِمَارِ غَیْرُهَا یَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فَقَالَ قَدْ کُنَّ یُرْمَیْنَ کُلُّهُنَّ وَ لَکِنَّهُمْ تَرَکُوا ذَلِکَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاکَ فَأَرْمِیهِنَّ قَالَ لَا تَرْمِهِنَّ أَ مَا تَرْضَی أَنْ تَصْنَعَ مِثْلَ مَا نَصْنَعُ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 479

Zuhayr said: I asked Imam Baqir or Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about why only the Jamrat al-Aqaba is thrown on Eid al-Adha and not the other two? Imam replied: They were all thrown, but they (the people) abandoned it! I asked: Should I throw all of them? He replied: Do not throw them! Are you not satisfied to do what we do?

3⃣عَنْ حُمْرَانَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ رَمْیِ الْجِمَارِ فَقَالَ کُنَّ یُرْمَیْنَ جَمِیعاً یَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فَرَمَیْتُهَا جَمِیعاً بَعْدَ ذَلِکَ ثُمَّ حَدَّثْتُهُ فَقَالَ لِی أَ مَا تَرْضَی أَنْ تَصْنَعَ کَمَا کَانَ عَلِیٌّ یَصْنَعُ فَتَرَکْتُهُ.

Humran said: I asked Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) about throwing the pebbles (on Eid al-Adha). Imam replied: On the day of Eid al-Adha, all of them were thrown!

(Zuhayr said) Then I threw them all and later reported it to the Imam, who said: Are you not satisfied to do it the way Ali (peace be upon him) did it? So I abandoned it!

4⃣عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ شُعَیْبٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْداللَّه فِی حَدِیثٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ مَا أَقُولُ: إِذَا رَمَیْتُ قَالَ کَبِّرْ مَعَ کُلِّ حَصَاةٍ

Yaqoub said: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) what to say when I throw the pebbles. He replied: With each pebble, say Allahu Akbar!

✅ Based on the above narrations, our current obligation is to throw stones only at Jamrat al-Aqaba (the largest one) on the day of Eid al-Adha and avoid throwing at the other two Jamarat on this day.

However, on the subsequent days of throwing, all the Jamarat are thrown in order, and the narration limiting the throwing to Jamrat al-Aqaba is specifically for the day of Eid al-Adha.
