Mansoor ibn Hazim said: I heard Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) say: Throwing the Jamarat is between sunrise and sunset!

2⃣عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ یَحْیَی عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِیلَ بْنِ هَمَّامٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا یَقُولُ لَا تَرْمِ الْجَمْرَةَ یَوْمَ النَّحْرِ حَتَّی تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ الْحَدِیثَ.

Ismail said: I heard Imam Reza (peace be upon him) say: On the day of Eid al-Adha, do not throw at the Jamrat al-Aqaba until the sun rises!

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 480

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Every day, throw the pebbles at the time of the zenith of the sun (i.e., at midday).

4⃣عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ جَمِیلٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: فِی الْخَائِفِ لَا بَأْسَ بِأَنْ یَرْمِیَ الْجِمَارَ بِاللَّیْلِ وَ یُضَحِّیَ بِاللَّیْلِ وَ یُفِیضَ بِاللَّیْلِ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said about a person who is fearful (of something): There is no problem in throwing the Jamarat at night, performing the sacrifice at night, and leaving for Mina from Muzdalifah at night!

5⃣عَنْ أَبِی بَصِیرٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لِلنِّسَاءِ وَ الضُّعَفَاءِ أَنْ یُفِیضُوا مِنْ جَمْعٍ بِلَیْلٍ وَ أَنْ یَرْمُوا الْجَمْرَةَ بِلَیْلٍ فَإِنْ أَرَادُوا أَنْ یَزُورُوا الْبَیْتَ وَکَّلُوا مَنْ یَذْبَحُ عَنْهُنَّ

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 475

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) granted permission to women, the elderly, and the weak to leave from Muzdalifah to Mina at night and throw the Jamarat at night. If they wanted to perform the sacrifice, they appoint someone to sacrifice on their behalf!

✅ Based on the above narrations, throwing the Jamarat must be done between sunrise and sunset, and specifically at the time of the zenith is highly recommended.

✅ According to narrations 4⃣ and 5⃣, some groups, such as the fearful, the sick, women, the elderly, etc., are allowed to throw the Jamarat at night.
