1⃣عَنِ الْحَلَبِیِّ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْمُحْرِمِ یَحْتَجِمُ قَالَ لَا إِلَّا أَنْ لَا یَجِدَ بُدّاً فَلْیَحْتَجِمْ وَ لَا یَحْلِقُ مَکَانَ الْمَحَاجِمِ.

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 360

Halabi said: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about a person in Ihram who performs cupping; the Imam said: No! Unless there is no other option, then they can perform cupping, but they should not shave the area where cupping was done!

2⃣عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: لَا یَحْتَجِمُ الْمُحْرِمُ إِلَّا أَنْ یَخَافَ عَلَی نَفْسِهِ أَنْ لَا یَسْتَطِیعَ الصَّلَاةَ.

Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: A person in Ihram does not perform cupping unless they fear they will not be able to pray due to weakness!

3⃣عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّیْقَلِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِی الْمُحْرِمِ یَحْتَجِمُ قَالَ لَا إِلَّا أَنْ یَخَافَ التَّلَفَ وَ لَا یَسْتَطِیعَ الصَّلَاةَ وَ قَالَ إِذَا آذَاهُ الدَّمُ فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهِ وَ یَحْتَجِمُ وَ لَا یَحْلِقُ الشَّعْرَ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) was asked about a person in Ihram who performs cupping; he said: No! Unless they fear death and are unable to pray because of it.

He said: If the blood bothers them, there is no problem. Then they can perform cupping but should not shave the area of cupping!

4⃣عَنْ ذَرِیحٍ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْمُحْرِمِ یَحْتَجِمُ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ إِذَا خَشِیَ الدَّمَ.

📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 2, p. 348

Zarih asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about a person in Ihram who performs cupping; the Imam said: Yes! If they fear the blood!

✅ Based on the above narrations and others, a person in Ihram can only perform cupping in case of necessity, fearing for their life, or if the blood flow is overwhelming and they fear it will prevent them from praying. If cupping is performed in such a case, they should avoid shaving or trimming the hair from the area where cupping was performed.
