1⃣عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِی حَدِیثٍ قَالَ: وَ لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ یُحَوِّلَ الْمُحْرِمُ ثِیَابَهُ قُلْتُ إِذَا أَصَابَهَا شَیْءٌ یَغْسِلُهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ إِنِ احْتَلَمَ فِیهَا.

Halabi said: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: There is no problem for a person in Ihram to change and replace their clothes. I asked: If something reaches them, should they wash it? He replied: Yes! If they become impure in it!

2⃣أَحْمَدُ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ رَزِینٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ یُحْرِمُ فِی ثَوْبٍ وَسِخٍ قَالَ لَا وَ لَا أَقُولُ إِنَّهُ حَرَامٌ وَ لَکِنْ أُحِبُّ أَنْ یُطَهِّرَهُ وَ طَهُورُهُ غَسْلُهُ وَ لَا یَغْسِلُ الرَّجُلُ ثَوْبَهُ الَّذِی یُحْرِمُ فِیهِ حَتَّی یَحِلَّ وَ إِنْ تَوَسَّخَ إِلَّا أَنْ یُصِیبَهُ جَنَابَةٌ أَوْ شَیْءٌ فَیَغْسِلَهُ

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 341

Muhammad bin Muslim said: I asked Imam Baqir or Imam Sadiq (peace be upon them) about a person who enters Ihram in dirty clothes; the Imam said: No! I do not say it is forbidden, but I prefer that it be purified, and purification of it is by washing it! The person should not wash the clothes they wear for Ihram until they have exited Ihram, even if it becomes dirty and soiled, unless it is soiled with semen or any other impurity, in which case it should be washed!

3⃣عَنْ مُعَاوِیَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْمُحْرِمِ تُصِیبُ ثَوْبَهُ الْجَنَابَةُ قَالَ لَا یَلْبَسُهُ حَتَّی یَغْسِلَهُ وَ إِحْرَامُهُ تَامٌّ.

📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 2, p. 341

Muawiyah bin Ammar said: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about a person in Ihram whose clothes become impure (with semen); the Imam said: They should not wear it until it is washed, and their Ihram remains valid (and it does not affect their Ihram)!

✅ Based on the above narrations and others, entering Ihram in dirty clothes is discouraged, although it is not forbidden. It is recommended that if the clothes intended for Ihram are dirty or soiled, they should first be washed with water and purified before entering Ihram.

✅ However, it is recommended that the Ihram clothes not be washed after entering Ihram, until the person exits Ihram, even if they become dirty and soiled, unless they become impure with semen or another impurity, in which case it is obligatory to purify and wash the Ihram clothes.
