Question 1671: What is the ruling for someone who masturbates with their hand during the state of Ihram for Hajj and ejaculates?

✅ Answer: Please refer to the following narration:

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 4, p. 376

Ishaq ibn Ammar said: I asked Imam Abu al-Hasan (peace be upon him) about a man in Ihram who plays with his organ and ejaculates. The Imam said: It is like the ruling for someone who has intercourse with his wife while in Ihram; he must offer a sacrifice (one camel) and perform Hajj the following year!

✅ Based on the above narration, if a man, God forbid, masturbates during Ihram and ejaculates, in addition to offering a sacrifice (one camel) as an expiation, he must also make up his Hajj the following year.

✅ It is important to note that the ruling above applies specifically to masturbation with the hand. The rulings for those who ejaculate due to other actions, such as looking at a non-mahram woman's body, touching, or kissing one's spouse, or those who engage in intercourse with their spouse before or after standing at Muzdalifah, have different detailed rulings.

✅ Due to the difficulty of performing Hajj for pilgrims every year, one must be very cautious not to engage in actions that require them to perform Hajj again the following year. It is necessary to learn about those actions that invalidate Hajj and require performing Hajj the following year, and to pay special attention to them.
