Ammar ibn Musa said: I asked Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, about the *khuttaf* (swallow). The Imam replied: There is no issue with it! It is among those whose meat is lawful to eat, but eating it is disliked because it has sought refuge with you and has come to your home. Any bird that seeks refuge with you, grant it refuge!
