✅ Answer: Effeminate men are those who exhibit the movements and inclinations of women and may sometimes submit themselves as passive to immoral men, with their desire placed in their posterior.

The three main causes of this affliction in these individuals are observed in the following narrations:

1⃣عن أَبِی سَعِیدٍ الْخُدْرِیِّ فی وَصِیَّةِ النَّبِیِّ لِعَلِیٍّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:یَا عَلِیُّ لَا تُجَامِعِ امْرَأَتَکَ بِشَهْوَةِ امْرَأَةِ غَیْرِک فَإِنِّی أَخْشَی إِنْ قُضِیَ بَیْنَکُمَا وَلَدٌ أَنْ یَکُونَ مُخَنَّثاً أَوْ مُؤَنَّثاً مُخَبَّلًا

📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 3, p. 552

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said in his will to Amir al-Mu'minin (AS): O Ali! Do not have sexual relations with your wife with the desire of another woman's sexual desire! Because I fear that if a child is born between you, (he will be effeminate) or (have the characteristics of a woman, be insane, or mentally delayed)!

2⃣عن طَلْحَةَ بْنِ زَیْدٍ عَنْ أَبِی عبداللَّه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ مَنْ أَمْکَنَ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ طَائِعاً یُلْعَبُ بِهِ أَلْقَی اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ شَهْوَةَ النِّسَاء

Imam Sadiq (AS) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Whoever willingly allows himself to be played with, Allah will cast the desire of women upon him!

3⃣عن عطیة أخی أبی العرام قال: ذَکَرْتُ لِأَبِی عَبْداللَّه الْمَنْکُوحَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ فَقَالَ لَیْسَ یُبْلِی اللَّهُ بِهَذَا الْبَلَاءِ أَحَداً وَ لَهُ فِیهِ حَاجَةٌ إِنَّ فی أَدْبَارِهِمْ أَرْحَاماً مَنْکُوسَةً وَ حَیَاءُ أَدْبَارِهِمْ کَحَیَاءِ الْمَرْأَةِ قَدْ شَرِکَ فِیهِمُ ابْنٌ لِإِبْلِیسَ یُقَالُ لَهُ زَوَالٌ فَمَنْ شَرِکَ فِیهِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ کَانَ مَنْکُوحاً وَ مَنْ شَرِکَ فِیهِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ کَانَتْ مِنَ الْمَوَارِدِ و الْعَامِلُ عَلَی هذا مِنَ الرِّجَالِ إِذَا بَلَغَ أَرْبَعِینَ سَنَةً لَمْ یَتْرُکْهُ...

Atiyah says: I asked Imam Sadiq (AS) about men who become passive; the Imam said: Allah does not afflict someone with this calamity if they have a need! Indeed, in their posterior is an inverted womb, and their anal orifice is like that of a woman! A child from Satan, named ‘Zawal’, has joined in their semen! So anyone from the men who shares with them will be passive and effeminate, and anyone from the women who shares with them will be one of the cases; and the person who performs this act from among the men, when he reaches forty years old, will not stop doing it!

✅ However, the way to avoid sharing with this devil and others is through the following two hadiths:

4⃣عن عبدالرحمن بن کثیر قال: کُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِی عَبْداللَّه جَالِساً فَذَکَرَ شِرْکَ الشَّیْطَان فَعَظَّمَهُ حَتَّی أَفْزَعَنِی قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاکَ فما الْمَخْرَجُ مِنْ ذَلِکَ فقال إِذَا أَرَدْتَ الْجِمَاعَ فَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِیمِ الَّذِی لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ بَدِیعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ و الْأَرْضِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ قَضَیْتَ مِنِّی فی هَذِهِ اللَّیْلَةِ خَلِیفَةً فَلَا تَجْعَلْ لِلشَّیْطَانِ فِیهِ شِرْکاً وَ لَا نَصِیباً و لَا حَظّاً و اجْعَلْهُ مُؤْمِناً مُخْلِصاً مُصَفًّی مِنَ الشَّیْطَانِ و رِجْزِهِ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُک

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 5, p. 503

Abdul Rahman says: I was sitting with Imam Sadiq (AS) when the Imam mentioned the partnership with Satan and regarded it as a serious matter, to the point that it frightened me! So I said: May I be your ransom! What is the way to escape from it? The Imam replied: When you intend to have intercourse, say:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِیمِ الَّذِی لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ بَدِیعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ قَضَیْتَ مِنِّی فِی هَذِهِ اللَّیْلَةِ خَلِیفَةً فَلَا تَجْعَلْ لِلشَّیْطَانِ فِیهِ شِرْکاً وَ لَا نَصِیباً وَ لَا حَظّاً وَ اجْعَلْهُ مُؤْمِناً مُخْلِصاً مُصَفًّی مِنَ الشَّیْطَانِ وَ رِجْزِهِ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُکَ

5⃣عَنِ الحلبی قال: قال أَبُو عَبْداللَّه فی الرَّجُلِ إِذَا أَتَی أَهْلَهُ و خَشِیَ أَنْ یُشَارِکَهُ الشَّیْطَانُ قَالَ یَقُولُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَ یَتَعَوَّذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّیْطَان

📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 5, p. 502

Imam Sadiq (AS) said regarding a man who approaches his wife and fears that Satan might share with him: He should say, ‘Bismillah’ and ‘A’udhu Billahi min ash-Shaytan ir-Rajim’!
