1⃣خَطَبَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ فَقَال وَ أَدُّوا فِطْرَتَكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا سُنَّةُ نَبِيِّكُمْ وَ فَرِيضَةٌ وَاجِبَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ

📚 Faqih, vol. 1, p. 517

Imam Ali (AS) said in his Eid al-Fitr sermon: Pay your Zakat al-Fitr, for it is the tradition of your Prophet and an obligatory duty from your Lord!

2⃣عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ: قَالَ لِی أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ یَا إِسْحَاقُ کَیْفَ تَصْنَعُ بِزَکَاةِ مَالِکَ إِذَا حَضَرَتْ قَالَ یَأْتُونِّی إِلَی الْمَنْزِلِ فَأُعْطِیهِمْ فَقَالَ لِی مَا أَرَاکَ یَا إِسْحَاقُ إِلَّا قَدْ أَذْلَلْتَ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ فَإِیَّاکَ إِیَّاکَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَی یَقُولُ مَنْ أَذَلَّ لِی وَلِیّاً فَقَدْ أَرْصَدَ لِی بِالْمُحَارَبَةِ.

📚 Amali al-Tusi, vol. 1, p. 198

Isaac bin Ammar says: Imam Sadiq (AS) told me: O Isaac! What do you do when the time for your Zakat comes? I said: The deserving people come to my house, and I give them the Zakat. The Imam said: O Isaac! I do not see you except that you have humiliated and degraded the believers! Avoid this act and stay away from it! Indeed, Allah Almighty says: Whoever humiliates My friend has certainly prepared for war with Me!

3⃣عَنْ مُعَلَّی بْنِ خُنَیْسٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَنِ اسْتَذَلَّ عَبْدِیَ الْمُؤْمِنَ فَقَدْ بَارَزَنِی بِالْمُحَارَبَةِ الْحَدِیثَ.

📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 2, p. 354

Imam Sadiq (AS) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah, the Almighty, says: Whoever humiliates a believing servant of Mine has certainly declared war with Me!

✅ According to narration 1⃣ and others, the important matter is the payment of Zakat al-Fitr, and however it is paid to the rightful recipients, the duty of paying the Zakat al-Fitr is fulfilled. However, based on narration 2⃣, if we bring the poor and needy to us and give them the Zakat, it is considered humiliating them, and the humiliation of a believer is strongly condemned in many narrations.

✅ Therefore, to pay the Zakat al-Fitr, we should go to the poor and needy with respect and give them the Zakat so that they are not humiliated.

✅ Truly, if the Ahlul Bayt (AS) had not been there and did not convey their teachings to us, how would we have known these matters?!
