1⃣عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ فِی حَدِیثٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِی جَعْفَرٍ فَإِنْ عُرِضَ عَلَیْهِ الْحَجُّ فَاسْتَحْیَا قَالَ هُوَ مِمَّنْ یَسْتَطِیعُ الْحَجَّ وَ لِمَ یَسْتَحْیِی وَ لَوْ عَلَی حِمَارٍ أَجْدَعَ أَبْتَرَ قَالَ فَإِنْ کَانَ یَسْتَطِیعُ أَنْ یَمْشِیَ بَعْضاً وَ یَرْکَبَ بَعْضاً فَلْیَفْعَلْ.

📚 *Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 5, p. 3*: In a narration, Muhammad ibn Muslim said: I asked Imam Baqir (peace be upon him): What if Hajj is offered to someone, but they feel too shy? He said: Such a person is capable of performing Hajj! Why should they feel shy? Even if they are riding a donkey with its ears and tail cut off!

He said: If they can walk part of the way and ride part of the way, they should do so!

📚 *Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 5, p. 7*: Muawiya ibn Ammar said: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): A man has no money, and one of his brothers sends him for Hajj, does this count as his *Hajj al-Islam* (the obligatory Hajj), or is it incomplete? The Imam said: No, that Hajj is complete!

2⃣عَنْ مُعَاوِیَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ لَمْ یَکُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ فَحَجَّ بِهِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ إِخْوَانِهِ أَ یُجْزِیهِ ذَلِکَ عَنْهُ عَنْ حَجَّةِ الْإِسْلَامِ أَمْ هِیَ نَاقِصَةٌ قَالَ بَلْ هِیَ حَجَّةٌ تَامَّةٌ.

📚 *Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 5, p. 18*: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said in a narration: If a group invites him to go on Hajj (at their own expense), and he feels shy and does not go, then truly, he has no excuse or ability except to go for Hajj, even if he is riding a donkey with its ears and tail cut off!

📚 *Al-Mahasin, p. 296*: Abu Basir said: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): A man has wealth, but it is lost, and then Hajj is offered to him, but he feels shy to accept it! The Imam said: Anyone to whom Hajj is offered, even if they are riding a donkey with its ears and tail cut off, and they feel shy, then they are among those who are capable of performing Hajj!

3⃣عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِی حَدِیثٍ قَالَ: وَ إِنْ كَانَ دَعَاهُ قَوْمٌ أَنْ يُحِجُّوهُ فَاسْتَحْيَا فَلَمْ يَفْعَلْ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَسَعُهُ إِلاَّ اَلْخُرُوجُ وَ لَوْ عَلَى حِمَارٍ أَجْدَعَ أَبْتَرَ

✅ According to the above narrations and others, if a person does not have the financial ability for the obligatory Hajj, but someone or a group offers to pay for their Hajj, such a person becomes capable of performing Hajj and must go. They are not allowed to refuse out of shyness and must fulfill their Hajj obligation. This Hajj is considered complete.

4⃣ عَنْ أَبِی بَصِیرٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ کَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ فَذَهَبَ ثُمَّ عُرِضَ عَلَیْهِ الْحَجُّ فَاسْتَحْیَا فَقَالَ مَنْ عُرِضَ عَلَیْهِ الْحَجُّ فَاسْتَحْیَا وَ لَوْ عَلَی حِمَارٍ أَجْدَعَ مَقْطُوعِ الذَّنَبِ فَهُوَ مِمَّنْ یَسْتَطِیعُ الْحَجَّ.
