Question 249: What should a person do if they know they have one missed (qada) prayer but do not know which prayer it was?

Answer
🔴Answer: Pay attention to the following narration:
📚Al-Mahasin, p. 325
🔴Translation: A person who has forgotten one of the five daily prayers (to perform it) but does not know which prayer it was was asked of Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him). He said: 'He should perform a three-rak'ah prayer, a four-rak'ah prayer, and a two-rak'ah prayer. Then, if it was the noon, afternoon, or evening prayer, he has performed it, and if it was the morning or sunset prayer, he has also performed it.'
🔴According to the above narration and another narration with the same meaning in 📚Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 2, p. 197, a person who has forgotten one of the daily prayers but does not know which one it was must perform a two-rak'ah prayer, a three-rak'ah prayer, and a four-rak'ah prayer.
