✅Answer: Please pay attention to the following narrations:

📚 Al-Tahdhib, vol. 2, p. 107

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: One day, the Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his family) said to his companions: 'Tell me, if you were to gather all the containers and clothes you have and pile them on top of each other, do you think they would reach the sky?' They said: 'No, O Messenger of God.' He said: 'Each of you, when he finishes his prayer, should say 30 times:'

And these repel the building from collapsing on one's head, drowning, burning by fire, falling into a well, being devoured by a wild animal, a bad death, and any calamity that descends upon the servant on that day.

📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 4, p. 5

The Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his family) said: 'Indeed, Allah, there is none worthy of worship but Him, repels, by means of charity, pain, plague, fire, drowning, a building collapsing on one's head, madness, and 70 other kinds of evil, which he enumerated.'

📚 Thawab al-A'mal, p. 169

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever gives charity during the day or night, if it is day, on that day, and if it is night, on that night, Allah repels from him the building collapsing on his head, wild animals, and a bad death.'

📚 Thawab al-A'mal, p. 152

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Do not get bored or tired of reciting Surah Al-Zalzalah, for whoever's recitation in his supererogatory prayers is Surah Al-Zalzalah, Allah will never make an earthquake befall him, and he will not die by an earthquake, or by a lightning bolt, or by a worldly calamity. And when he passes away, he will be commanded to be taken to Paradise, and Allah, the Mighty and Glorious, will say: 'O My servant, I have made Paradise permissible for you, so dwell wherever you wish and desire in it, without being prevented or repelled.''

5 Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever is affected by an earthquake should recite this supplication:'

And the Imam said: 'Whoever recites this supplication before sleeping, God willing, the room will not fall on his head.'

📚 Al-Tahdhib, vol. 3, p. 294

6 Ali ibn Mahzyar said: I wrote a letter to Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him) and complained about the frequency of earthquakes in Ahvaz and said: 'Do you think I should leave this city?' The Imam wrote: 'Do not leave the city, and fast on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and on Friday, perform ghusl (ritual bath), wear pure clothes, go to the desert, and call upon Allah, the Mighty and Glorious, for indeed it will be removed from you.' He said: 'We did this, and the earthquakes ceased.' The Imam also said: 'Whoever among you is a sinner should repent to God,' and the Imam himself prayed for their well-being.

✅Since one of the main causes of earthquakes is sin and disobedience, repentance from sins is one of the most important things for warding off earthquakes.
