Abdullah ibn Sunan narrates: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about performing Ghusl on the Day of Arafah in cities other than Mecca. He said: 'Wherever you are, perform the Ghusl.'

Muhammad ibn Muslim narrates: I asked Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) about fasting on the Day of Arafah. He replied: 'If you have the strength, it is good to fast, provided it does not weaken you from supplication, as the Day of Arafah is primarily a day for prayer and supplication. If you fear it weakens your prayers, do not fast.'

Abdullah ibn Muskan narrates: Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) never turned away any beggar on the Day of Arafah.

It is narrated from Imam Reza (peace be upon him) that he distributed all his wealth on the Day of Arafah.
As narrated, one of the most important acts on this day is supplication. Numerous prayers have been recommended for this day, including the famous supplication of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) and the highly valuable 47th supplication in Sahifa Sajjadiya, which is highly recommended to be recited. Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said to Imam Ali (peace be upon him): 'Shall I teach you the supplication of the Day of Arafah, which was the prayer of the prophets before me?' He replied: 'On the Day of Arafah you say:'
لا إِلهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَ يُمِيتُ وَ هُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَ هُوَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ قَدِيرٌ* اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَالَّذِي تَقُولُ وَ خَيْراً مِمَّا نَقُولُ وَ فَوْقَ مَا يَقُولُ الْقَائِلُونَ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صَلاتِي وَ نُسُكِي وَ مَحْيايَ وَ مَماتِي وَ لَكَ بَرَاءَتِي وَ بِكَ حَوْلِي وَ مِنْكَ قُوَّتِي اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ وَ مِنْ وَسَاوِسِ الصُّدُورِ وَ مِنْ شَتَاتِ الْأَمْرِ وَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الرِّيَاحِ وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا تَجِي ءُ بِهِ الرِّيَاحُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ اللَّيْلِ وَ خَيْرَ النَّهَارِ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قَلْبِي نُوراً وَ فِي سَمْعِي وَ بَصَرِي نُوراً وَ لَحْمِي وَ دَمِي وَ عِظَامِي وَ عُرُوقِي وَ مَقْعَدِي وَ مَقَامِي وَ مَدْخَلِي وَ مَخْرَجِي نُوراً وَ أَعْظِمْ لِي نُوراً يَا رَبِّ يَوْمَ أَلْقَاكَ إِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Other deeds for this day are mentioned for various locations, and one should act upon the narrations transmitted through the Ahl al-Bayt, as knowledge and wisdom are to be taken through Imam Ali and his pure progeny.
