✅ Answer: Please pay attention to the following narrations:

📚 Al-Kafi Vol. 4, p. 454

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Insha'Allah, when the Day of Tarwiyah (i.e., the eighth of Dhu al-Hijjah) comes, perform the ghusl (of ihram) and put on your two garments of ihram and enter the Sacred Mosque... until he said: Then pray two rak'ahs (of ihram) near the station of Ibrahim or in the Hijr of Isma'il, and then enter the state of ihram for Hajj...

📚 Al-Kafi Vol. 4, p. 455

Abu Ahmad said: I said to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): From where should I say the talbiyah for Hajj? He said: If you wish, from your house (in Mecca), and if you wish, from the Ka'ba (i.e., inside the Sacred Mosque), and if you wish, on the road!

📚 Al-Kafi Vol. 4, p. 455

Yunus ibn Ya'qub said: I said to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): From where in the Sacred Mosque should I enter the state of ihram on the eighth of Dhu al-Hijjah? He said: From wherever in the mosque you wish!

4 Abi Basir from Abi Abdillah said: If you want to enter the state of ihram on the Day of Tarwiyah, do as you did when you wanted to enter the state of ihram: trim your mustache and your nails, and if you have hair on your pubic area, use depilatory powder, and pluck the hair from your armpits, and perform ghusl, and put on your two garments. Then come to the Sacred Mosque and pray six rak'ahs in it before you enter the state of ihram, and you supplicate to Allah and ask Him for help and say: 'O Allah, I intend to perform Hajj, so make it easy for me and release me wherever you detain me according to Your decree which You have decreed upon me.' And you say: 'I enter the state of ihram for Your sake with my hair, my skin, my flesh, and my blood from women, perfume, and clothes. I intend by this Your face and the Hereafter, and release me wherever You detain me according to Your decree which You have decreed upon me.' Then you say the talbiyah from the Sacred Mosque as you said the talbiyah when you entered the state of ihram and you say: 'Labbayk for a Hajj whose completion and reaching is upon You.' And if you can, let your departure to Mina be at the time of the sun's decline, otherwise, whenever it is easy for you on the Day of Tarwiyah.

📚 Al-Kafi Vol. 4, p. 454

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: When you want to enter the state of ihram on the Day of Tarwiyah, do as you did when you wanted to enter the state of ihram (for 'Umrah): trim your mustache and nails and if you have hair on your pubic area, use depilatory powder, and pluck the hair from your armpits, and perform ghusl, and put on your two garments of ihram, and come to the Sacred Mosque and before you enter the state of ihram, pray six rak'ahs in the mosque and you supplicate to Allah and ask Him for help and say:

And you say:

Then, as you said the talbiyah when you entered the state of ihram ('umrah), say the talbiyah in the Sacred Mosque and say:

And if you can, let your departure to Mina be at the time of the sun's decline, otherwise, whenever it is easy for you on the Day of Tarwiyah.

5 'An Abi Abdillah Qala: Yujibu al-ihram thalatha ashiya' al-talbiyah wa al-ish'ar wa al-taqlid fa idha fa'ala shay'an min hadhihi al-thalatha fa qad ahram

📚 Al-Tahdhib Vol. 5, p. 43

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Three things make ihram obligatory (and a person enters the state of ihram): talbiyah (i.e., saying 'labbayk'), ish'ar, and taqlid (these two are related to the sacrificial animal). So if he does any of these three things, he has definitely entered the state of ihram (and is considered in the state of ihram from then on)!

✅ According to the above narrations and others, a person who has performed the 'Umrah of Hajj al-Tamattu' is obligated to re-enter the state of ihram for Hajj on the Day of Tarwiyah, which is the eighth of Dhu al-Hijjah. After performing its preliminaries and etiquette, such as trimming the mustache and nails, using depilatory powder on the pubic area and plucking the armpit hair, and performing the ghusl of ihram and putting on the two garments of ihram, he enters the Sacred Mosque and after performing the prayer of ihram near the station of Ibrahim or in the Hijr of Isma'il or wherever he wishes in the mosque, he recites the narrated supplications if he wishes, and from there, by saying the talbiyah and 'labbayk,' he enters the state of ihram and moves towards Mina.

Of course, entering the state of ihram from the Sacred Mosque is not obligatory, and one can say the talbiyah and enter the state of ihram after performing the preliminaries and etiquette of ihram in his own house in Mecca or on the road.
