هَلْ جَاءَ فِی الْرِّوایاتِ عِلَّةُ وُجُودِ الْخَبَلِ و الجُنُونِ و النُقْصَان فِی المَولُود؟

✅Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:

1 عن الصَّادِقِ عَنْ آبَائِه قال: قال رَسُولُ اللَّه فی حَدِیثٍ و کُرِهَ أَنْ یَغْشَی الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ و قَدِ احْتَلَمَ حَتَّی یَغْتَسِلَ مِنِ احْتِلَامِهِ الَّذِی رَأَی فَإِنْ فَعَلَ و خَرَجَ الْوَلَدُ مَجْنُوناً فَلَا یَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَه

📚 Faqih, vol.3, p.557

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: When a man has experienced nocturnal emission, it is undesirable for him to have intercourse with his wife until he has performed ghusl for that emission. If he does so and the child is born insane, no one should blame anyone but himself!

2 عن أَبی الْحَسَنِ مُوسَی عن أَبِیهِ عن جَدِّهِ قال فِیمَا أَوْصَی بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَلِیّاً قال: یا عَلِیُّ لَا تُجَامِعْ أَهْلَکَ فِی أَوَّلِ لَیْلَةٍ مِنَ الْهِلَالِ و لَا فِی لَیْلَةِ النِّصْفِ و لا فی آخِرِ لَیْلَةٍ فَإِنَّهُ یُتَخَوَّفُ عَلَی وَلَدِ مَنْ یَفْعَلُ ذَلِکَ الْخَبَلُ فقال علی و لم ذاک یا رسول الله فقال إن الجن یکثرون غشیان نسائهم فی أول لیلة من الهلال و لیلة النصف و فی آخر لیلة أ ما رأیت المجنون یصرع فی أول الشهر و فی وسطه و فی آخره

📚 Al-Kafi, vol.5, p.499

Imam al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) narrated from his father and forefathers that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) advised Imam Ali (peace be upon him): O Ali! Do not have intercourse with your wife on the first night, the middle night, or the last night of the lunar month, because it may affect the child’s intellect and body!

Then Imam Ali (peace be upon him) asked: Why, O Messenger of Allah? He replied: Because jinn are more active with women on the first, middle, and last nights of the lunar month. Have you not seen that the insane often suffer epilepsy at the start, middle, or end of the month?

3 From Masma‘ Abu Sayyar from Abu Abdullah: The Messenger of Allah said: I dislike for my Ummah that a man have intercourse with his wife in the middle or beginning of the lunar month, because the forces of Satan and jinn approach the children and make them insane, corrupting their minds and bodies.

📚 Al-Kafi, vol.5, p.499

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) disliked for the Ummah that a man have intercourse with his wife at the start or middle of the lunar month, because rebellious forces of Satan and jinn affect the children, making them insane and corrupting their minds and bodies!

4 The Sadiq said: Do not have intercourse at the start, middle, or end of the month, for whoever does so must accept miscarriage, and if the child is born, it is likely to be insane.

📚 Faqih, vol.3, p.403

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Do not have intercourse with your wife at the beginning, middle, or end of the lunar month. Whoever does is likely to face miscarriage or, if the child is born, the child may be insane.

5 Ali ibn Muhammad al-Askari narrated from his father and forefathers: It is disliked for a man to have intercourse with his wife on the first night, the middle night, or the last night of the month, because if he does, the child may be born insane.

📚 ‘Ilal al-Shara’i, p.514

Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon him) narrated from his forefathers: It is disliked for a man to have intercourse with his wife on the first, middle, or last night of the lunar month, because a child born from such union may be insane!

✅According to the above narrations and others, if a man experiences nocturnal emission and has intercourse before performing ghusl, or has intercourse on the first, middle, or last night of the month, the resulting child may be at risk of various forms of mental and intellectual deficiencies and 'khabal' (corruption of mind and body).

✅Nowadays, due to ignorance of these narrations, promotion of the solar calendar, lack of guidance by scholars, and unawareness of the lunar calendar, people may have children with intellectual and mental disabilities such as Down syndrome or other physical defects, and sometimes they commit crimes by aborting them!

✅This is one of the thousands of harms resulting from people being distanced from the narrations of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and neglecting their commands!

✅Excuses such as not wanting children or using contraception do not remove the prohibition of intercourse at these times; often, children are conceived unintentionally.

✅Do you know that almost half of each lunar month is prohibited for intercourse, and ignoring this carries serious risks?

Woe to those who distance people from the narrations of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)!
