Question 1342: In the narrations, is eating turnips recommended cooked or raw?

Answer
✅ Answer: Please pay attention to the following narrations:
📚 Al-Kafi Vol. 6, p. 3727
The righteous servant (i.e., Imam Kazim, peace be upon him) said: You must have 'lift,' meaning turnip, and eat it, for there is no one except that he has a vein of leprosy, and turnip melts it!
📚 Al-Kafi Vol. 6, p. 372
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: There is no one except that he has a vein of leprosy in him, so melt it with turnip!
📚 Al-Kafi Vol. 6, p. 372
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: You must have turnip, so eat it and be persistent in eating it, and keep this a secret except from its people! For there is no one except that he has a vein of leprosy in him, so melt it by eating turnip!
📚 Al-Mahasin p. 525
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: There is no one except that he has a vein of leprosy in him, so eat turnip in its season so that it may leave you through it!
📚 Tibb al-A'immah (peace be upon them) p. 105
Imam Kazim (peace be upon him) said: You must have 'lift,' meaning turnip, so eat it, for there is no one except that he has a vein of leprosy in him, and indeed eating turnip melts it. I said: Raw or cooked? He said: Both.
✅ 'Lift' or 'shaljam' is the same as turnip, which in the above narrations is recommended to be eaten constantly in its season, both raw and cooked, and eating it causes the leprosy vein to melt and, in fact, protects from the dangerous disease of leprosy.
Leprosy is a well-known and important disease in which the limbs of the body dry up and their flesh falls off.
✅ It is seen that this matter is so important and valuable that in hadith 3️⃣ it is recommended to be kept a secret except from one who is worthy and deserving!
✅ Insha'Allah, send this information immediately to all believers, Shi'a, and lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) who are its people, and gift it to them so that now that it is the season for turnips, they may benefit from eating it.
✅ It is fitting that we do not abandon the recommendations of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in various matters. Because:
📚 Al-Iqbal p. 146.
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said in a hadith: Do not abandon what we recommend to you!
✅ Also, the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) have recommended and commanded us to pray a lot for the hastening of the 'Faraj' (the advent of the Imam). So let's say a lot:
