Answer
✅ Answer: A boar, or wild pig, is a strong mammal with thick skin, a conical snout, and two long teeth that protrude from the sides of its mouth and serve as its defensive tool.
✅ First, pay attention to the following narration:
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 6, p. 247
Sama'a said: I asked Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, about the birds and wild animals that are permissible to eat;
The Imam said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, forbade every bird with talons and every wild animal with a canine tooth!
I said: The people say: (He forbade) every beast of prey with a canine tooth!
So the Imam said to me: All beasts of prey are forbidden, even if they are a beast of prey that does not have a canine tooth, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, has distinguished and separated this....
✅ According to the above narration and others, animals that have a 'nab' (canine tooth, like a dog's tooth), their meat is forbidden, whether they are beasts of prey or not.
With this in mind, due to the presence of canine teeth in boars, this animal is considered among the animals whose meat is forbidden.
✅ In addition to the above criterion, since a boar is also a type of wild pig (khinzir), the hadiths on the prohibition of pig meat (khinzir) and also the hadiths on transformed animals apply to it:
📚 Ilal al-Shara'i, p. 487, H. 4
Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, narrated from his father from his grandfather that he said: The transformed ones from the Children of Adam were 13 groups, which are:
Monkeys and pigs and bats and lizards and elephants and bears and dammus and moray eels and scorpions and suhayl and hedgehogs and zuhrah and spiders.....
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 6, p. 247
Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said in a hadith: Allah and His Messenger have forbidden all transformed animals!
📚 Al-Kafi, Vol. 6, p. 408
Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: Indeed, Allah has forbidden wine in itself, so its little and its much are forbidden, just as He has forbidden carrion, and blood, and the meat of the pig...
✅ Therefore, according to the above narrations and many other narrations as well, the boar, which is considered a type of wild pig and is from the category of pigs, its meat has been forbidden in the Quran and the narrations.
✅ Unfortunately, today ignorant and corrupt people all over the world consume the meat of pigs and boars, and the complete removal of this corruption and ignorance depends on the fulfillment of the following prayer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah, and His blessings
