1 عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّه قَالَ: تَدْعُو فِی الْوَتْرِ عَلَی الْعَدُوِّ وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ سَمَّیْتَهُمْ وَ تَسْتَغْفِرُ الْحَدِیثَ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'In the 'qunut' of the 'Witr' prayer, you can curse the enemy, and if you wish, you can also mention their names and also ask for forgiveness!'

2 عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّه فِی حَدِیثٍ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ قَنَتَ وَ دَعَا عَلَی قَوْمٍ بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ وَ أَسْمَاءِ آبَائِهِمْ وَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ وَ فَعَلَهُ عَلِیٌّ بَعْدَهُ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said in a hadith: 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) performed 'qunut' and cursed a group by their names, their fathers' names, and their tribes, and Imam Ali (peace be upon him) also did this after him!'

3 عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ: کَتَبْتُ إِلَی الْعَسْکَرِیِّ علیه السلام جُعِلْتُ فِدَاکَ قَدْ عَرَفْتُ هَؤُلَاءِ الْمَمْطُورَةَ فَأَقْنُتُ عَلَیْهِمْ فِی الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ نَعَمْ اقْنُتْ عَلَیْهِمْ فِی صَلَاتِکَ

Ibrahim ibn 'Uqbah said: I wrote to Imam Askari (peace be upon him): 'May I be sacrificed for you! I know these wet dogs (meaning the Waqifiyyah = the Seven-Imamis); should I curse them in the 'qunut' of the prayer?' He said: 'Yes! Curse them in the 'qunut' of your prayer!'

4 عَنْ ذَرِيحٍ الْمُحَارِبِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ لَهُ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ النَّضْرِيُ أَيْ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبَا مَعْقِلٍ الْمُزَنِيَّ حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ الْمَغْرِبَ فَقَنَتَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ فَلَعَنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ وَ أَبَا مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيَّ وَ أَبَا الْأَعْوَرِ السُّلَمِيَّ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ صَدَقَ فَالْعَنْهُمْ

Harith ibn Mughirah said to Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): 'Indeed, Abu Ma'qal al-Muzani narrated to me that the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) prayed the Maghrib prayer with the people and performed 'qunut' in the second 'rak'ah' and cursed Mu'awiyah, 'Amr ibn al-'As, Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, and Abu al-A'war al-Sullami.' The Imam said: 'He has spoken the truth! Curse them!'

5 عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ: عَنْ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّهُ قَنَتَ فِي الصُّبْحِ فَلَعَنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ وَ أَبَا مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيَّ وَ أَبَا الْأَعْوَرِ وَ أَصْحَابَهُمْ

'Abdullah ibn Ma'qal narrated that the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) performed 'qunut' in the Fajr prayer and cursed Mu'awiyah, 'Amr ibn al-'As, Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, Abu al-A'war, and their companions!

6 هَذَا الدُّعَاءُ رَفِیعُ الشَّأْنِ عَظِیمُ الْمَنْزِلَةِ وَ رَوَاهُ عَبْدُاللَّهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عَلِیٍّ علیه السلام أَنَّهُ کَانَ یَقْنُتُ بِهِ وَ قَالَ إِنَّ الدَّاعِیَ بِهِ کَالرَّامِی مَعَ النَّبِیِّ صلی الله علیه و آله فِی بَدْرٍ وَ أُحُدٍ وَ حُنَیْنٍ بِأَلْفِ أَلْفِ سَهْمٍ الدُّعَاءُ اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْ صَنَمَیْ قُرَیْشٍ وَ جِبْتَیْهَا وَ طَاغُوتَیْهَا وَ إِفْکَیْهَا وَ ابْنَتَیْهِمَا اللَّذَیْنِ خَالَفَا أَمْرَکَ وَ أَنْکَرَا وَحْیَکَ...

📚Balad al-Amin, p. 551

Kaf'ami narrated in the book 'Balad al-Amin' that: 'This supplication has a high status and a great position, and Ibn 'Abbas narrated it from the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) that he used to recite it in the 'qunut', and the reciter of this supplication is like a shooter who has shot two million arrows with the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) in the battles of Badr, Uhud, and Hunayn! And that supplication is:

اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْ صَنَمَیْ قُرَیْشٍ وَ جِبْتَیْهَا وَ طَاغُوتَیْهَا وَ إِفْکَیْهَا وَ ابْنَتَیْهِمَا اللَّذَیْنِ خَالَفَا أَمْرَکَ وَ أَنْکَرَا وَحْیَکَ.... تا آخر دعا که طولانی است و به دعای صَنَمَی قریش معروف است!

✅According to the above narrations and others, it is permissible to curse and damn the usurpers of the caliphate and all the enemies of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the 'qunut' of the prayers, whether they are alive or dead, by mentioning their names and their fathers' names.

✅Of course, we should also remember our Master Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) and recite the following supplication frequently in 'qunut' and elsewhere:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَجِّلْ لِوَلِیِّکَ الْفَرَجَ وَ الْعَافِیَةَ وَ النَّصْر
