Question 1314: I am, as the common people say, a person with an evil eye, and my gaze affects others, and I am very upset about this. Is there a way for this effect not to occur?
Answer
✅ Answer: Pay attention to the following narrations:
📚 Al-Tibb al-A'immah, p. 121
Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: Whoever is astonished by something of his believing brother and likes it, he should say 'Allah Akbar' over it, for the evil eye is true and real!
📚 Al-Tibb al-A'immah, p. 121
Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: If the graves were opened and split for you, you would see that most of your dead were from the evil eye, for the evil eye is true!
Be aware that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: The evil eye is true, so whoever likes something of his brother, he should say the divine remembrance over it, for when he says the divine remembrance, it will not harm him!
📚 Makarim al-Akhlaq, p. 445
Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: The evil eye is real, and you are not safe from it from yourself to yourself or from yourself to others. (Meaning, it is possible for you to be afflicted by the evil eye from yourself to yourself, and also for your evil eye to affect others), so when you fear it from something, say three times:
✅ Based on the above narrations and others, the evil eye is real, and it is possible for us to be afflicted by the evil eye from others, and for our evil eye to affect others, and also for us to be afflicted by the evil eye from ourselves to ourselves!
The solution to prevent the effect of our evil eye on others is that when a person is astonished by something, he should say 'Allah Akbar' or other divine remembrances or say three times:
✅ In the book Al-Kafi, Vol. 1, p. 334, Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, considers one of the motivations for wishing for the appearance of Al-Qa'im, peace be upon him, to be 'the manifestation of truth and justice in all lands.' Let's say continuously, with humility and often, to achieve this noble aspiration:
