1 عن علي أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِكُمَيْل بْنِ زِيَادٍ فِي وَصِيَّتِهِ لَهُ يَا كُمَيْلُ لَا تَأْخُذْ إِلَّا عَنَّا تَكُنْ مِنَّا

📚 Busharat al-Mustafa, p. 47

The Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, said to Kumayl: 'O Kumayl! Do not take your (religious and theological matters) except from us, so that you may be from us!'

2 The Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'There is no saying or belief except with action, and there is no saying or action (that is useful) except with intention, and there is no saying, action, or intention except by being from the Sunnah.'

3 عَنْ هَاشِمٍ صَاحِبِ الْبَرِيدِ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِي حَدِيثٍ أَمَا إِنَّهُ شَرٌّ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تَقُولُوا بِشَيْءٍ مَا لَمْ تَسْمَعُوهُ مِنَّا

Imam Sadegh, peace be upon him, said in a narration: 'Indeed, it is evil for you to say and believe something until you have heard it from us.'

4 عَنِ ابْنِ حُمَیْدٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَی أَمِیرِ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ علیه السلام فَقَالَ أَخْبِرْنِی عَنِ السُّنَّةِ وَ الْبِدْعَةِ وَ عَنِ الْجَمَاعَةِ وَ عَنِ الْفِرْقَةِ فَقَالَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ السُّنَّةُ مَا سَنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلی الله علیه و آله وَ الْبِدْعَةُ مَا أُحْدِثَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَ الْجَمَاعَةُ أَهْلُ الْحَقِّ وَ إِنْ کَانُوا قَلِیلًا وَ الْفِرْقَةُ أَهْلُ الْبَاطِلِ وَ إِنْ کَانُوا کَثِیراً

📚 Ma'ani al-Akhbar, p. 155

A man came to the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, and said: 'Inform me about the Sunnah, innovation (bid'ah), the main body of the community (jama'ah), and the splinter group (firqah)!'

The Imam said:

The Sunnah is what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, has established and legislated.

And innovation (bid'ah) is what has been created after him.

And the main body of the community (jama'ah) are the people of truth, even if they are few.

And the splinter group (firqah) are the people of falsehood, even if they are many!

5 عَنْ فُضَيْلٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ يَقُولُ كُلُّ مَا لَمْ يَخْرُجْ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ فَهُوَ بَاطِلٌ.

📚 Basa'ir al-Darajat, p. 531, hadith 21

Fudayl said: I heard Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, say: 'Everything that has not come out from this house (meaning the house of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them) is falsehood!'

6 Imam Baqir and Imam Sadegh, peace be upon them, said in a narration: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said on the pulpit about the Taraweeh prayer and the Duha prayer:

أَلَا وَ إِنَّ كُلَّ بِدْعَةٍ ضَلَالَةٌ وَ كُلَّ ضَلَالَةٍ سَبِيلُهَا إِلَى النَّارِ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ قَلِيلٌ فِي سُنَّةٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ كَثِيرٍ فِي بِدْعَةٍ.

''Be aware that every innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance leads to the Fire!'

Then he came down from the pulpit while saying:

'A little in the Sunnah is better than a lot in innovation!'

7 Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, said to Salama ibn Kuhayl and Hakam ibn Utayba: 'Go to the East and go to the West! By Allah, you will not find correct knowledge except what has come from us, the Ahl al-Bayt!'

📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 1, p. 399

8 عَن أَبِي بَصِيرٍ فِي حَدِيثٍ قَالَ: فَلْيُشَرِّقِ الْحَكَمُ وَ لْيُغَرِّبْ أَمَا وَ اللَّهِ لَا يُصِيبُ الْعِلْمَ إِلَّا مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ جَبْرَئِيل

Abu Basir said: (Imam Sadegh, peace be upon him) said to me: 'Let Hakam (son of Utayba) go to the East and go to the West. Be aware that, by Allah, knowledge is not obtained except from the Ahl al-Bayt upon whom Gabriel descended!'

9 عَنْ زَيْدٍ الشَّحَّامِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْإِنْسانُ إِلى طَعامِهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ: مَا طَعَامُهُ قَالَ عِلْمُهُ الَّذِي يَأْخُذُهُ عَمَّنْ يَأْخُذُهُ

Zayd al-Shahham said: I said to Imam Baqir, peace be upon him, about verse 24 of Surah Abasa, where Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, says: 'Let man look at his food,' what is his food? Meaning: (Let him look) from whom he takes the knowledge that he takes!'

✅ It is claimed that the supplication of 60 Qafs consists of 6 verses, each of which has ten letters 'qaf.' And some have thought that reciting these 6 verses after and before the morning prayer and at other times and carrying it with one is good and that it has many properties. However, there is no document or source for it that leads to the Infallibles, peace be upon them. And given the narrations above, such properties do not exist for it, and it is fabricated and has no place for practice.

اللَّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَجِّلْ لِوَلِیِّکَ الْفَرَجَ وَ الْعَافِیَةَ وَ النَّصْرَ

فَقالَ النَّبِیُّ ثانِیاً یا عَلِیُّ وَالَّذی بَعَثَنی بِالْحَقِّ نَبِیّاً وَاصْطَفانی بِالرِّسالَهِ نَجِیّاً ما ذُکِرَ خَبَرُنا هذا فی مَحْفِلٍ مِنْ مَحافِلِ اَهْلِ الاَْرْضِ وَفیهِ جَمْعٌ مِنْ شیعَتِنا وَمُحِبّینا وَفیهِمْ مَهْمُومٌ اِلاّ وَفَرَّجَ اللَّهُ هَمَّهُ وَلا مَغْمُومٌ اِلاّ وَکَشَفَ اللَّهُ غَمَّهُ وَلا طالِبُ حاجَهٍ اِلاّ وَقَضَی اللّهُ حاجَتَهُ فَقالَ عَلِیُّ اِذاً وَاللَّهِ فُزْنا وَسُعِدْنا وَکَذلِکَ شیعَتُنا فازُوا وَسُعِدُوا فِی الدُّنْیا وَالاْخِرَهِ وَرَبِّ الْکَعْبَه
