1 عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّه قَالَ: إِذَا قُمْتَ مِنَ السُّجُودِ قُلْتَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبِّی بِحَوْلِکَ وَ قُوَّتِکَ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ- وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ قُلْتَ وَ أَرْکَعُ وَ أَسْجُدُ.

📚 Al-Tahdhib, Vol. 2, p. 86

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'When you want to rise from prostration, you say:

اللَّهُمَّ رَبِّی بِحَوْلِکَ وَ قُوَّتِکَ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ

And if you wish, you say:

اللَّهُمَّ رَبِّی بِحَوْلِکَ وَ قُوَّتِکَ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ وَ أَرْکَعُ وَ أَسْجُدُ

2 عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّه قَالَ: إِذَا قَامَ الرَّجُلُ مِنَ السُّجُودِ قَالَ بِحَوْلِ اللَّهِ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'When a person rises from prostration, he says:

بِحَوْلِ اللَّهِ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ

3 عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْداللَّهِ قَالَ: إِذَا جَلَسْتَ فِی الرَّکْعَتَیْنِ الْأُولَیَیْنِ فَتَشَهَّدْتَ ثُمَّ قُمْتَ فَقُلْ بِحَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَ قُوَّتِهِ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'When you sit at the end of the first two rak'ahs and recite the tashahhud and then want to rise, say:

بِحَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَ قُوَّتِهِ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ

4 عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ مُوسَی قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّه یَقُولُ کَانَ عَلِیٌّ إِذَا نَهَضَ مِنَ الرَّکْعَتَیْنِ الْأَوَّلَتَیْنِ قَالَ بِحَوْلِکَ وَ قُوَّتِکَ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ

Rifa'ah said: 'I heard Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) say: 'When Imam Ali (peace be upon him) would rise from the first two rak'ahs, he would say:

بِحَوْلِکَ وَ قُوَّتِکَ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ

5 عَنْ أَبِی بَکْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِیِّ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِذَا قُمْتَ مِنَ الرَّکْعَةِ فَاعْتَمِدْ عَلَی کَفَّیْکَ وَ قُلْ بِحَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَ قُوتِهِ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ فَإِنَّ عَلِیّاً کَانَ یَفْعَلُ ذَلِکَ

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'When you want to rise from a rak'ah, lean on your palms and say:

بِحَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَ قُوتِهِ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ

because Imam Ali (peace be upon him) used to do this!'

6 عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: إِذَا قُمْتَ مِنَ السُّجُودِ قُلْتَ اللَّهُمَّ بِحَوْلِکَ وَ قُوَّتِکَ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ وَ أَرْکَعُ وَ أَسْجُدُ

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'When you rise from prostration, you say:

اللَّهُمَّ بِحَوْلِکَ وَ قُوَّتِکَ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ وَ أَرْکَعُ وَ أَسْجُدُ

7 عَنْ سَعْدٍ الْجَلَّابِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّه قَالَ: کَانَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ یَبْرَأُ مِنَ الْقَدَرِیَّةِ فِی کُلِّ رَکْعَةٍ وَ یَقُولُ بِحَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَ قُوَّتِهِ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ

📚 Al-Sarair, p. 483

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) would disavow the Qadariyah sect in every rak'ah and say:

بِحَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَ قُوَّتِهِ أَقُومُ وَ أَقْعُدُ

✅ In the above narrations, it is observed that the remembrance 'by the power and strength of God, I stand and sit' or 'O God, by Your power and strength, I stand and sit and bow and prostrate' or 'by Your power and strength, I stand and sit' or 'by the power of God, I stand and sit' or 'O God, my Lord, by Your power and strength, I stand and sit,' is said while rising from each rak'ah to the next or when rising from the first tashahhud to the third rak'ah of the prayer. Since there is no standing or rising in a seated prayer, the condition and state for saying this remembrance do not occur, and therefore these remembrances do not exist in a seated prayer, and one should suffice with the takbir that is mentioned in narrations after raising the head from the second prostration.

✅ I implore you, for the hastening of the advent of Baqiyyatullah (peace be upon him), to say often:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَجِّلْ لِوَلِیِّکَ الْفَرَجَ وَ الْعَافِیَةَ وَ النَّصْرَ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

O Allah, hasten the advent of your Wali (guardian) and grant him well-being and victory

💠 Advice from Imam Jawad (peace be upon him):

⚜ And he (peace be upon him) said:

الثِّقَةُ بِاللَّهِ تَعَالَی ثَمَنٌ لِکُلِّ غَالٍ وَ سُلَّمٌ إِلَی کُلِّ عَالٍ.

Imam Jawad (peace be upon him) said:

Trust and reliance on God Almighty are the price of everything precious, and a ladder and a means to every height!

⚜ And he (peace be upon him) said:

إِیَّاکَ وَ مُصَاحَبَةَ الشَّرِیرِ فَإِنَّهُ کَالسَّیْفِ یَحْسُنُ مَنْظَرُهُ وَ یَقْبُحُ أَثَرُهُ.

Imam Jawad (peace be upon him) said:

Beware of associating with a wicked person, for he is like a sword drawn from its scabbard,

He has a good appearance but leaves an ugly and disgraceful mark!

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مُوسَی علیهم السلام ، عَلَمِ الْتُّقَی وَ نُورِ الْهُدَی وَ مَعْدِنِ الْهُدَی وَ فَرْعِ الْأَزْکِیَاءِ وَ خَلِیفَةِ الْأَوْصِیَاءِ وَ أَمِینِکَ عَلَی وَحْیِکَ ، اللَّهُمَّ فَکَمَا هَدَیْتَ بِهِ مِنَ الضَّلَالَةِ وَ اسْتَنْقَذْتَ بِهِ مِنَ الْجَهَالَةِ وَ أَرْشَدْتَ بِهِ مَنِ اهْتَدَی وَ زَکَّیْتَ بِهِ مَنْ تَزَکَّی ، فَصَلِّ عَلَیْهِ أَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّیْتَ عَلَی أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَوْلِیَائِکَ وَ بَقِیَّةِ أَوْلِیَائِکَ ، إِنَّکَ عَزِیزٌ حَکِیمٌ.
