✅Answer: Please pay attention to the following narrations:

1 عن رسول اللَّه قال: و مَنْ صَافَحَ امْرَأَةً حراماً جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقيَامَة مَغْلُولًا ثُمَّ يُؤْمَرُ بِهِ إِلَى النَّارِ و مَنْ فَاكَهَ امْرَأَةً لا يَمْلِكُهَا حَبَسَهُ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ كَلِمَةٍ كَلَّمَهَا في الدُّنْيَا أَلْفَ عَام

📚Uqab al-A'mal, p. 334

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever shakes hands with a non-mahram woman will come on the Day of Judgment in chains, and then it will be ordered for him to be taken to the fire. And whoever jokes and jests with a woman whom he does not own, Allah will imprison him for a thousand years for every word he spoke with her in this world!'

2️⃣From Abu Basir, he said: I was teaching a woman the Quran in Kufa and I joked with her about something. When I entered upon Abi Ja'far (Imam Baqir), he reproached me and said: 'Whoever commits a sin in private, Allah does not care about him!' What did you say to that woman?? I covered my face in shame and repented! Then Abu Ja'far said: 'Do not return (to this act).'

📚Al-Khara'ij, Vol. 2, p. 594

Abu Basir said: I was teaching a woman the Quran in Kufa, and I joked with her. When I entered upon Imam Baqir (peace be upon him), he reprimanded me and said: 'Whoever commits a sin in private, Allah does not pay attention or care about him!'

What did you say to that woman??! I covered my face out of shyness and embarrassment and repented! Then Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: 'Do not return to this matter again!'

✅ In 📚Rijal al-Kashshi, p. 154, in another version of this narration, it is stated that the Imam said to Abu Basir: 'لَا تَعُودَنَّ إِلَيْهَا' meaning: 'Never return to that woman!'

3 عن عَلِيٍّ أَنَّهُ قال: إِنَّ خَمْسَةَ أَشْيَاءَ تَقَعُ بِخَمْسَةِ أَشْيَاءَ وَ لَا بُدَّ لِتِلْكَ الْخَمْسَةِ مِنَ النَّارِ إِلَى أَنْ قَالَ وَ مَنْ مَازَحَ الْجَوَارِيَ وَ الْغِلْمَانَ فَلَا بُدَّ لَهُ مِنَ الزِّنَى وَ لَا بُدَّ لِلزَّانِي مِنَ النَّار

📚Mustadrak al-Wasa'il, Vol. 14, p. 331

It is narrated from Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) that he said: 'Five things lead to and result in five things, and there is no escape from the fire of Hell for those five things!'... up to where he said: 'And whoever jokes and jests with young girls and boys, there is no escape for him from adultery, and there is no escape from the fire for the adulterer!'

4 عن الصَّادِق عَنْ آبَائِهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي حَدِيثِ الْمَنَاهِي قال: و نَهَى أَنْ تَتَكَلَّمَ الْمَرْأَةُ عِنْدَ غَيْرِ زَوْجِهَا و غَيْرِ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ مِنْهَا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ خَمْسِ كَلِمَاتٍ مِمَّا لَا بُدَّ لَهَا مِنْهُ

In the Hadith of Manahi (prohibitions), Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) narrated from his ancestors that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade a woman from speaking more than five words with a man who is not her husband or a mahram, except what is necessary for her!

5 عن غياث بن إِبراهيم عن أَبِي عَبْداللَّه أَنَّهُ قال: لَا تُسَلِّمْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَة

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Do not greet a non-mahram woman!'

6 عن مسعدة بن صدقة عن أَبِي عبداللَّه قال: قال أَمِيرُالْمُؤْمِنِينَ لا تَبْدَءُوا النِّسَاءَ بِالسَّلَامِ و لَا تَدْعُوهُنَّ إِلَى الطَّعَامِ...

📚Al-Kafi, Vol. 5, p. 534

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) said: 'Do not initiate greetings with women and do not invite them to food!'

✅ In the narrations above and others, verbal joking and jesting with non-mahram women are severely condemned, and even greeting non-mahram women is forbidden, and neglecting these instructions leads to the corruption that is seen in society today.

✅ Look at how far and alien from these narrations and their likes are those who place their wives and daughters among non-mahram men at parties and elsewhere and engage in extensive public conversations with various jokes, and also those who make their wives television hosts and actresses in such-and-such movies, and various kinds of jokes and conversations widely take place between them and non-mahram men, and such people become role models for women who, without any restrictions, use television programs every day and night!

And even more painful is that such people are called artists and are honored!

And most painful of all is that those who should forbid evil and clarify in this matter remain completely silent, as if they are completely satisfied with such a matter!

✅ However, the people of faith, while refraining from joking with any non-mahram woman, even if they are acquaintances like a brother's wife or an uncle's wife, etc., for the removal of the existing corruption, are murmuring the following prayer:

اللَّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ و آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ و عَجِّلْ لِوَلِیِّکَ الْفَرَجَ و الْعَافِیَةَ وَ النَّصْر
