✅Answer:

First, pay attention to the confirmation of this practice and then its supplications in the following two hadiths:

1 عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ یَقْطِینٍ عَمَّنْ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَوْحَی اللَّهُ إِلَی مُوسَی أَتَدْرِی لِمَ اصْطَفَیْتُکَ بِکَلَامِی دُونَ خَلْقِی قَالَ یَا رَبِّ وَ لِمَ ذَاکَ قَالَ فَأَوْحَی اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِلَیْهِ یَا مُوسَی إِنِّی قَلَّبْتُ عِبَادِی ظَهْراً لِبَطْنٍ فَلَمْ أَجِدْ فِیهِمْ أَحَداً أَذَلَّ لِی نَفْساً مِنْکَ یَا مُوسَی إِنَّکَ إِذَا صَلَّیْتَ وَضَعْتَ خَدَّیْکَ عَلَی التُّرَابِ أَوْ قَالَ عَلَی الْأَرْضِ

📚 Man La Yahduruhu al-Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 332

Translation: Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, revealed to Moses son of Imran: Do you know why I chose you for My speech over My other creations? Moses (peace be upon him) said: No, O my Lord. Allah said: O Moses! I searched through My servants and did not find anyone who humbled himself for Me more than you; O Moses! When you pray, you place both of your cheeks on the dust (or ground).

2 Imam Kazim (peace be upon him) said: In the prostration of gratitude, say three times:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أُشْهِدُکَ وَ أُشْهِدُ مَلَائِکَتَکَ وَ أَنْبِیَاءَکَ وَ رُسُلَکَ وَ جَمِیعَ خَلْقِکَ أَنَّکَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ رَبِّی وَ الْإِسْلَامَ دِینِی وَ مُحَمَّداً نَبِیِّی وَ عَلِیّاً وَ الْحَسَنَ وَ الْحُسَیْنَ وَ عَلِیَّ بْنَ الْحُسَیْنِ وَ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ وَ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ مُوسَی بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ وَ عَلِیَّ بْنَ مُوسَی وَ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ وَ عَلِیَّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ وَ الْحُجَّةَ بْنَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ أَئِمَّتِی بِهِمْ أَتَوَلَّی وَ مِنْ أَعْدَائِهِمْ أَتَبَرَّأُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَنْشُدُکَ دَمَ الْمَظْلُومِ

And say three times:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَنْشُدُکَ بِإِیوَائِکَ عَلَی نَفْسِکَ لِأَعْدَائِکَ لَتُهْلِکَنَّهُمْ بِأَیْدِینَا وَ أَیْدِی الْمُؤْمِنِینَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَنْشُدُکَ بِإِیوَائِکَ عَلَی نَفْسِکَ لِأَوْلِیَائِکَ لَتُظْفِرَنَّهُمْ بِعَدُوِّکَ وَ عَدُوِّهِمْ أَنْ تُصَلِّیَ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَی الْمُسْتَحْفِظِینَ مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

And say three times:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَسْأَلُکَ الْیُسْرَ بَعْدَ الْعُسْرِ

Then place your right cheek on the ground and say three times:

یَا کَهْفِی حِینَ تُعْیِینِی الْمَذَاهِبُ وَ تَضِیقُ عَلَیَّ الْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ یَا بَارِئَ خَلْقِی رَحْمَةً بِی وَ کُنْتَ عَنْ خَلْقِی غَنِیّاً صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَی الْمُسْتَحْفِظِینَ مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Then place your left cheek on the ground and say three times:

یَا مُذِلَّ کُلِّ جَبَّارٍ وَ یَا مُعِزَّ کُلِّ ذَلِیلٍ قَدْ وَ عِزَّتِکَ بَلَغَ مَجْهُودِی

Then go back into prostration and say one hundred times:

شُکْراً شُکْراً

Then you ask for your need, if Allah wills.

📚 Man La Yahduruhu al-Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 331

3 Sulaiman said: I went out with Imam Kazim (peace be upon him) to one of his properties, so the Imam stood for the Dhuhr prayer. When he finished the prayer, he prostrated for Allah and I heard him say in a sorrowful voice while his tears were flowing:

رَبِّ عَصَیْتُکَ بِلِسَانِی وَ لَوْ شِئْتَ وَ عِزَّتِکَ لَأَخْرَسْتَنِی وَ عَصَیْتُکَ بِبَصَرِی وَ لَوْ شِئْتَ وَ عِزَّتِکَ لَأَکْمَهْتَنِی وَ عَصَیْتُکَ بِسَمْعِی وَ لَوْ شِئْتَ وَ عِزَّتِکَ لَأَصْمَمْتَنِی وَ عَصَیْتُکَ بِیَدِی وَ لَوْ شِئْتَ وَ عِزَّتِکَ لَکَنَّعْتَنِی وَ عَصَیْتُکَ بِرِجْلِی وَ لَوْ شِئْتَ وَ عِزَّتِکَ لَجَذَمْتَنِی وَ عَصَیْتُکَ بِفَرْجِی وَ لَوْ شِئْتَ وَ عِزَّتِکَ لَعَقَمْتَنِی وَ عَصَیْتُکَ بِجَمِیعِ جَوَارِحِیَ الَّتِی أَنْعَمْتَ بِهَا عَلَیَّ وَ لَیْسَ هَذَا جَزَاءَکَ مِنِّی

Then I counted a thousand times that he said:

الْعَفْوَ الْعَفْوَ

Then he pressed his right cheek to the ground and I heard him say three times in a sorrowful voice:

بُؤْتُ إِلَیْکَ بِذَنْبِی عَمِلْتُ سُوءاً وَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِی فَاغْفِرْ لِی فَإِنَّهُ لَا یَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ غَیْرُکَ یَا مَوْلَایَ

Then he pressed his left cheek to the ground and I heard him say three times:

ارْحَمْ مَنْ أَسَاءَ وَ اقْتَرَفَ وَ اسْتَکَانَ وَ اعْتَرَفَ

Then he raised his head.

✅O friends, truly! How much do our deeds resemble the deeds of those who, according to narrations, are the standard and our deeds are to be measured by their criteria on the Day of Judgment??!
