Answer

✅Answer:

In addition to the numerous commands of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) for us to visit Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the severe condemnation of abandoning his visit, in the text of some narrations, the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) have used the words 'wujub' (obligation) and 'faridah' (religious duty), a few of which are mentioned here:

📚 Al-Tahdheeb, Vol. 6, p. 42

Translation:

Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: Command our followers to visit the grave of Hussein (peace be upon him), for indeed going to him increases one's sustenance, prolongs one's life, and repels bad events. And going to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) has been made a religious duty upon every believer who acknowledges his Imamate from Allah.

📚 Kamil al-Ziyarat, p. 122

Translation:

Umm Sa'id said: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said to me: O Umm Sa'id! Do you visit the grave of Hussein (peace be upon him)? I said: Yes, so the Imam said: O Umm Sa'id, visit him, for indeed the visit of Hussein (peace be upon him) is obligatory upon men and women.

📚 Mustadrak al-Wasa'il, Vol. 10, p. 258

Translation:

Imam Baqir or Imam Sadiq (peace be upon them) said: O Zurarah, there is no believing woman on earth except that it is obligatory upon her to help and assist Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) by visiting Hussein (peace be upon him).

📚 Kamil al-Ziyarat, p. 122

Translation:

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: If one of you performs Hajj for his entire life but does not visit Hussein ibn Ali, he has surely abandoned one of the rights of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family), because the right of Hussein (peace be upon him) upon every Muslim is a religious duty (and) obligatory from Allah.

5 Also, pay attention to the following narration:

📚 Kamil al-Ziyarat, p. 193

Translation:

Harun said: I asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) about a person who abandons the visit of the grave of Hussein (peace be upon him) without a reason; the Imam said: Such a person is one of the people of the fire.

✅ Visiting our Master Hussein (peace be upon him) is unparalleled in reward and merit among deeds, and among the things that the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) have stated in the hadiths regarding the visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is that all the money spent on the visit, Allah will replace it for us, so no one should deprive himself of this great blessing for fear of poverty. According to narrations, one of the most important reasons for an increase in sustenance is the visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
