Answer

✅Answer:

In narrations, many deeds are mentioned for bedtime. Some of them are:

1 Imam Ali al-Naqi, peace be upon him, said: We, the Ahl al-Bayt, perform ten deeds at bedtime:

Performing ablution, sleeping on the right side, saying 'Subhan Allah' 33 times, 'Alhamdulillah' 33 times, and 'Allahu Akbar' 34 times, turning towards the Qibla, reciting Surah Al-Fatiha and Ayah al-Kursi, and reciting the verse 'Shahida Allah' (verse 18 of Al Imran). So, whoever does these things has taken his share of his night.

📚 Mustadrak, Vol. 5, p. 116

2 Amir al-Mu'minin, peace be upon him, said in the four-hundred-hadith: When one of you intends to sleep, he should place his right hand under his right cheek and say:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِی لِلَّهِ عَلَی مِلَّةِ إِبْرَاهِیمَ وَ دِینِ مُحَمَّدٍ صلی الله علیه و آله وَ وَلَایَةِ مَنِ افْتَرَضَ اللَّهُ طَاعَتَهُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ کَانَ وَ مَا لَمْ یَشَأْ لَمْ یَکُنْ

So, whoever says this at bedtime is protected from a thief, a robber, and a building collapsing on him, and the angels ask for forgiveness for him. And whoever recites Surah 'Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad' when he lies down in his bed, Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, appoints fifty thousand angels to protect him during that night.

📚 Khisal, Vol. 2, p. 631

3 Amir al-Mu'minin, peace be upon him, said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever recites Surah 'Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad' when he lies down in his bed, Allah will forgive the sins of fifty years of his life.

📚 Tawhid Saduq, p. 81

4 Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: Whoever says three times when he lies down in his bed:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِی عَلَا فَقَهَرَ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِی بَطَنَ فَخَبَرَ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِی مَلَکَ فَقَدَرَ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِی یُحْیِ الْمَوْتی وَ هُوَ عَلی کُلِّ شَیْ ءٍ قَدِیرٌ

He comes out of his sins as on the day his mother gave birth to him.

📚 Qurb al-Isnad, p. 25

5 Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever recites Surah 'Alhakum al-takathur' at bedtime is protected from the trial (punishment) of the grave.

📚 Kafi, Vol. 2, p. 623

6 Imam Reza, peace be upon him, said: Whoever recites Ayah al-Kursi at bedtime, he should not fear 'falij,' which is the numbing and paralysis of half of the body.

📚 Thawab al-A'mal, p. 95

7 Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said: Shall I not inform you of what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would say when he went to his bed? I said, yes, he said: He would recite Ayah al-Kursi and say:

بِسْمِ اللّهِ آمَنْتُ بِاللّهِ، وَ کَفَرْتُ بِالطَّاغُوتِ، اللّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِی فِی مَنَامِی وَ فِی یَقَظَتِی

📚 Kafi, Vol. 2, p. 535

✅Many other deeds are mentioned for bedtime in hadiths, the most important of which are performing ablution and the glorifications of Lady Fatima, peace be upon her.

8 And also in the hadith of 📚 Kafi, Vol. 2, p. 540, Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said:

There is no one who recites the last verse of Surah Al-Kahf at bedtime except that he will wake up at whatever hour he desires.

9 And also in the hadith of 📚 Khisal, p. 594, from Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, who said: Whoever says 'La ilaha illa Allah' a hundred times when he lies down in his bed, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise. And whoever asks for forgiveness a hundred times, his sins will fall away like the leaves of a tree.
