Question 107: In a mosque, the call to prayer (Adhan) is made, but the congregational prayer leader (Imam) is not trustworthy, and I pray there by myself. Is there still a need to make the call to prayer, or not?
Answer
✅Answer: Pay attention to the following narration:
📚Man La Yahduruhu al-Faqih, Vol. 1, p. 383
Translation: Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Behind the one whose Al-Fatiha and surah you recite yourself (you do not follow him), you should also say the Adhan.
Explanation: This narration indicates that in a mosque where you pray by yourself and do not follow the congregational leader due to his lack of trustworthiness, you must also say the Adhan for your prayer and cannot suffice with the Adhan of that place.
