The man said: By Allah! I do not go to them; it is only a voice and frivolity that I hear with my ear!
The Imam said: By Allah! Have you not heard that Allah says: 'Indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart—about all those [one] will be questioned'?
He said: Yes! By Allah! It is as if I had never heard this verse from any Arab or non-Arab before, and surely I will not return to this again, and I ask Allah for forgiveness!
The Imam said to him: Stand up, perform ablution, and pray whatever comes to your mind, for indeed you were in a great sin, and how bad your state would have been if you had died while committing this sin. So, praise Allah and repent from everything He dislikes, for He dislikes only what is shameful, and leave the shameful matter to its people, for everything has its people!

✅ The above narrations are only a part of the Shia narrations regarding the prohibition and condemnation of singing (Ghina), music, and frivolity, which are explicitly classified as major sins.
Today, unfortunately, these divine prohibitions, which have severe effects such as hypocrisy and hard-heartedness, have become so widespread and normalized that, sadly, many lovers of the Ahlul Bayt, peace be upon them, have also become tainted by it. For example, by placing audio-visual media in their homes and under the pretext of using its good programs, they have created a situation where their wives and children are heavily exposed to forbidden sounds, including singing (Ghina) and music, because singing and music have become an inseparable part of broadcasting programs to the extent that avoiding them is practically impossible. It should be noted that singing (Ghina) and music are just one of the many corruptions of these media.
Since some narrations classify the spread of frivolity, singing, and music as one of the trials of the end times, it can be said with certainty that all those who introduce these media into their homes, workplaces, etc., thereby subjecting themselves, their wives, and their children to the constant hearing and listening of various forms of singing (Ghina) and frivolous music, are among those who have fallen into the trials and major sins. As Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said in the tenth narration, how bad would their state be if they died while engaging in this!
✅ Therefore, I request all lovers of the Ahlul Bayt, peace be upon them, and the followers of the Hadith to obey the commands of the Ahlul Bayt, peace be upon them, in the above and other narrations and to protect their ears, as well as those of their wives and children, from this divine prohibition. Do not put yourself and your family in the position of constantly hearing and listening to forbidden music and singing (Ghina) under the pretext of listening to the call to prayer on media, for this is a great calamity. Surely, the heart of the Awaited One, peace be upon him, is saddened by the fact that his lovers so easily spread various types of music and singing (Ghina) in their homes by simply turning on the media and other means!
✅ O believers, be aware that singing and music cause hypocrisy to grow in the heart and have severe consequences. Some people have divided music into halal and haram, while others label singers and musicians as artists. The heedless masses eagerly attend concerts with expensive tickets, follow the recommendations of so-called doctors who claim that listening to music brings peace, and participate in free street concerts organized by the wicked. The open buying and selling of musical instruments without any restrictions, the incorporation of music into various devices like elevators and children's toys, the entrance of self-proclaimed preachers into singing and musical styles under the guise of mourning sessions for Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), the presentation of musical sounds by Quran reciters, and the silence of scholars regarding this great evil should not make us negligent, careless, or inattentive. We have a guiding light in the form of the sayings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) that dispels the darkness of these deceptions and leaves no excuse or argument for anyone. Therefore, let us distance ourselves from all forms of music, singing, and entertainment today so that we may stand proud and unashamed on the day when the following prayer is answered.
