Abu Hamza al-Thumali said: 'I entered upon Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) while he was sitting at the door that leads to al-Masjid al-Haram and was looking at the people who were circumambulating!'

So the Imam said to me: 'O Abu Hamza! What have these people been commanded to do?'

Abu Hamza said: 'I did not know what to answer!'

So the Imam said: 'They have been commanded to circumambulate these stones and then to come to us and inform us of their allegiance!'

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: 'Whoever comes to Makkah for Hajj and does not visit me in Madinah, I will turn away from him on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever visits me, my intercession becomes obligatory for him, and whoever my intercession becomes obligatory for, Paradise becomes obligatory for him.'

✅ In most narrations, for a person who goes on the Hajj trip, it is considered better to start with Makkah and end with Madinah. Therefore, being in groups that first go to Makkah and then go to Madinah after completing the rituals is better, although in hadith 6, both options are permitted, and in a hadith from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) in 📚 Al-Faqih, Vol. 2, p. 559, starting with Madinah is considered better for a pilgrim from Kufa.
