1 إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مِهْزَمٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ سَمِعَ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ قَالَ إِذَا خِفْتَ أَمْراً فَاقْرَأْ مِائَةَ آيَةٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآن مِنْ حَيْثُ شِئْتَ ثُمَّ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ اكْشِفْ عَنِّي الْبَلَاءَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

Imam Kadhim (peace be upon him) said: 'When you are afraid of something, read 100 verses from anywhere in the Quran and say three times:'
اللَّهُمَّ اكْشِفْ عَنِّي الْبَلَاءَ
2 قَال أَبُو عبداللَّه لِأَبِي بَصِيرٍ إِنْ خِفْتَ أَمْراً يَكُونُ أَوْ حَاجَةً تُرِيدُهَا فَابْدَأْ بِاللَّهِ فَمَجِّدْهُ وَ أَثْنِ عَلَيْهِ كَمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ وَ صَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَ سَلْ حَاجَتَكَ وَ تَبَاكَ وَ لَوْ مِثْلَ رَأْسِ الذُّبَاب

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said to Abi Basir: 'When you are afraid of something happening or you want something, first begin with praising Allah and praise Him as He deserves, and then ask for your need, and force yourself to cry, even if it is the size of a fly's head!'
3 حَرِيز عن أَبِي عَبْداللَّه قَالَ: اتَّخِذْ مَسْجِداً فِي بَيْتِكَ فَإِذَا خِفْتَ شَيْئاً فَالْبَسْ ثَوْبَيْنِ غَلِيظَيْنِ مِنْ أَغْلَظِ ثِيَابِكَ فَصَلِّ فِيهِمَا ثُمَّ اجْثُ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْكَ فَاصْرُخْ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَ سَلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَ تَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ الَّذِي تَخَافُهُ

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Take a place of prayer in your house, and when you are afraid of something, wear two of your coarsest garments and pray in them, and then sit on your knees and wail loudly to Allah (or ask for help and deliverance with intensity) and ask Him for Paradise and seek refuge with Allah from the evil you fear!'
4 عن عنبسة عَنْ أَبِی عَبْداللَّه قَالَ: مَنْ تَخَوَّفَ مِنْ بَلَاءٍ یُصِیبُهُ فَتَقَدَّمَ فِیهِ بِالدُّعَاءِ لَمْ یُرِهِ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ذَلِکَ الْبَلَاءَ أَبَداً

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever fears a calamity reaching him and anticipates it in his supplication, Allah (the Exalted and Glorious) will never show him that calamity!'
5️⃣ Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'When you are afraid of something, say:'
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّکَ لَا یَکْفِی مِنْکَ أَحَدٌ وَ أَنْتَ تَکْفِی مِنْ کُلِّ أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِکَ فَاکْفِنِی «کَذَا وَ کَذَا»

And in another hadith, he said: 'Say:'
یَا کَافِیاً مِنْ کُلِّ شَیْ ءٍ وَ لَا یَکْفِی مِنْکَ شَیْ ءٌ فِی السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ اکْفِنِی مَا أَهَمَّنِی مِنْ أَمْرِ الدُّنْیَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ وَ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ

6 أبان بن عثمان وَ هشام بن سالم وَ محمد بن حمران عَنِ الصَّادِقِ علیه السلام قَالَ: عَجِبْتُ لِمَنْ فَزِعَ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ کَیْفَ لَا یَفْزَعُ إِلَی أَرْبَعٍ عَجِبْتُ لِمَنْ خَافَ کَیْفَ لَا یَفْزَعُ إِلَی قَوْلِهِ حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَکِیلُ فَإِنِّی سَمِعْتُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ یَقُولُ بِعَقِبِهَا فَانْقَلَبُوا بِنِعْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَ فَضْلٍ لَمْ یَمْسَسْهُمْ سُوءٌ
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: 'I am surprised at someone who is terrified of four things, how he does not seek refuge in four things:
I am surprised at someone who has fear and dread, how he does not seek refuge in this saying of Allah:
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَکِیلُ
Because I heard Allah say after it:
فَانْقَلَبُوا بِنِعْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَ فَضْلٍ لَمْ یَمْسَسْهُمْ سُوءٌ
Meaning: 'So they returned with a favor from Allah and grace, no harm having touched them!'
7 سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو النَّخَعِيِّ قَال سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْداللَّه يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّه بَكِّرُوا بِالصَّدَقَةِ فَإِنَّ الْبَلَاءَ لَا يَتَخَطَّاهَا

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Give charity at the beginning of the day, for calamity will not pass it!'
8 عَنْ أَبِي جعفر قال: مَا مِنْ نَكْبَةٍ تُصِيبُ الْعَبْدَ إِلَّا بِذَنْبٍ وَ مَا يَعْفُو اللَّهُ أَكْثَرُ

Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said: 'No misfortune or hardship befalls a servant except because of a sin, and what Allah forgives is more!'
